    Tina gets good news… Bette stands by Tina all the way… and the girls share the memory of their first kiss…

    “Hey…” Tina smiled and pulled Bette into a hug.
    “Hi…” Bette mumbled into Tina’s hair, very pleased with Tina’s gesture of friendship.
    They held on a little longer than most friends do, taking in the feel of the other.
    “So… you’re here… I’m so glad that you took the time to go with me. Anita will be here any minute…” Tina said, still with her hands placed loosely on Bette’s hips.
    “I’m not late am I? I had trouble finding a parking space…” Bette explained. Back in the day she was almost always late, so apologizing for her tardiness was like a reflex to her.
    “You’re not late, Bette… you’re a bit early actually…” Tina said, looking down at her watch, “no need to apologize.”
    “Oh, good… so who is this Anita?”
    “She’s someone I worked with at Alphaville… I don’t think you ever met her. She divorced her husband a couple of years ago and moved into this building with her daughter. It looks nice, don’t you think?”
    Bette looked up at the four-story building, “Yeah, it looks really nice… I like the balconies, lots of room for you to grow your herbs…”
    “I know… and it’s only ten minutes from you and twenty-five minutes from The Planet.”
    “It sounds like I’m going to see a lot more of you, if you move in here?” Bette said with mischief.
    “I think we might run in to each other once in a while…” Tina smiled.
    “Hmmm, sounds awfully promising… are you sure you need to see the apartment at all? Cause I think you should sign the papers immediately,” Bette flirted.
    “Well, this is so unlike you, Bette… you always wanted to sample before you bought… what happened?”
    “If I remember correctly, I already sampled the merchandise and I KNOW, I want more…”
    Tina laughed out loud, “right…. down, girl!”
    “What?” Bette grinned.
    “Oh, there’s Anita… behave, please!”
    “Don’t I always?”
    “No, you most definitely do not…” Tina chuckled.

    The apartment was even better than Tina had hoped for. As she walked through the living room she could imagine herself living there. It had a big bedroom, a decent office or guestroom, and a wonderful living room with a balcony and a view. The fairly new kitchen opened up into the living room. It had potential. Bette walked around the apartment on her own while Tina talked to Anita. She knew Tina would want this place; Bette could easily picture Tina living here.
