    Alice sighed, staring at the joint she was holding.

    It’ll just relieve some stress! It won’t mess up my radio show! Actually, it’ll probably make it more interesting. My current ideas suck. Stupid Gabby. I was almost on to something when she had to come and interrupt my flow. ‘Hey Alice, guess what? I’m in love with your girlfriend’s ex! You were never good enough for my love, but Lara is fantastic!’

    Fuck. FUCK. Why the hell did they have to show up right when we were doing so great? Dana’s going to leave me for Lara, and she’s going to leave Gabby for Dana. I know it. They never finished whatever they had. Fucking Lara. With her little smug, sexy smile. You know who I should blame? KIT! That bitch! Why’d she hire Lara and then talk about her like she didn’t know her name? Why didn’t she just come right out and say, ‘I hired that exhibitionist Dana used to date’?

    Well. I doubt that would’ve made a difference. Unless I yelled at Kit for it. Which would make me seem really insecure and untrusting…which I kind of am.

    With good reason, though! They only broke up in the first place because of Dana being in the closet. She’s not anymore! Maybe I should call Dana and tell her about Lara. Then I’ll tell her how much I love her. Shit! I can’t do that! Too soon!

    Alice relented, lighting up and inhaling deeply. She coughed and spluttered as she turned her Mini on.

    I’m not that far away from the studio. I can still drive.

    She pulled away from the Planet and onto the road, groaning when she met a red light. She inhaled again. Alice stared around her car, feeling like she’d just stepped into another world.

    “What the fuck?” Alice mumbled, looking at a stuffed animal that sat in the back of the car from her mirror. It was a chicken. She blindly grabbed at it, not turning around. When she got a hold of it she sat it down in the passenger seat, giggling quietly. She jumped when a horn blared loudly from behind her. The light had turned.

    “Eat shit and die!” Alice yelled out the window. She looked in the side mirror to see who she’d yelled at. A cop was glaring at her through his car windshield.

    1. Yeah tunafish, fantastic opening! I like the idea of this story. The stuffed chicken was hilarious. A little sad that A got hurt. I hope she learned a lesson and wouldn’t smoke and drive again. lol. And A was her funny self when she was busted with her white lies. Excellent job on A’s insecurity.     6. New story? Yay! Love what Alice thought about Kit — that bothered me, too. Kids? Don’t smoke joints and drive. I hope Alice tells Dana immediately the next time she sees her. That was another thing that bothered me on the show. If Alice tells her before Dana sees Lara, then Dana at least has some time to process her feelings on the matter. I hope Dana has the fortitude to stay and fight for the relationship with Alice. Thanks, tunafish!!
