From the corner of her eye, she noticed that a few men had simultaneously, and not very discreetly, turned toward the entrance and were ogling over some newcomer. She chuckled inwardly. The power of women, she thought. Not that she hadn’t herself fallen under their spell a few times before, but now all of this power was gathered in the hands of just one… And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Well, I feel truly blessed…” Their host said, smiling at Bette and Phyllis, “For it seems that some of the most stunning women have decided to gather on my terrace tonight.” As he finished his sentence, his stare was fixed toward the stairs.
Bette tried to suppress a smile in her glass of champagne. French men… She thought, mentally shaking her head.
“Bette…” Phyllis suddenly said, looking in the same direction as their host, “… Isn’t that your friend?”
The brunette gave her a quizzical look, and when her boss nodded toward the entrance, she turned around…
… and that’s when their eyes met.
CHAPTER 44
A few moments earlier
As soon as her eyes fell upon the precious figure, Tina felt her heart start its familiar dance inside her chest. Her initial surprise quickly gave way to the overwhelming emotions that filled her every time the brunette was nearby.
This time was no exception and all she could do in this moment was stare at the woman standing just a few feet away, seemingly lost in her thoughts, and totally unaware of this latest mischief of fate.
Tina’s heart was beating so fast that it started to pound in her ears, and the most exquisite warmth spread through her whole being as her eyes drank her lover in.
The brunette was wearing a beautiful white suit and the matching shirt underneath it completed the outfit in the most elegant way. She was absolutely stunning… And had Tina not already been totally addicted to the woman, the opening of the shirt showing just enough cleavage to feed her wildest fantasies would have done the trick.
Intrigued by her friend’s sudden speech disability, Alice looked in the direction she was staring at and immediately identified the cause of Tina’s current state.

GGood heavens the woman is gorgeous in that white suit. Travolta nor Pierce Brosnan have nothing on her in their white suits, she puts them all to shame. Especially when she has her hair down, Beautiful. And Tina in red, she is also gorgeous in red, hot and sexy as hell, it is really her color. Happy they ended up at the same venue, they were miserable not being albe to be with each other until later. When will they be able to declare their love in public or when will it be okay for them to be together in public? Will they have to wait until after the divorce? Glad you updated this story, missed it very much. Eric, the very arrogant ass got what he deserved. And they could spend the rest of the evening together. PPS
