… As she continued caressing the blonde’s leg, Bette descended again to her neck, leaving lingering kisses on the way. She didn’t really know how far she would let this go, but quite frankly, the tantalizing response she was getting from above and from her own body had erased all coherent thought from her mind long ago.
They were just about to let their all-consuming urges overwhelm them when they heard some loud voices coming from the corridor. They froze, and resting their foreheads together they tried to settle their heavy breathing.
From the few words that were exchanged, Bette quickly understood that it was the maitre d’hotel and another house employee, and that they were heading to the kitchen. Meaning that if she and Tina didn’t move soon, they would be totally busted…
CHAPTER 46
Without another thought, Bette caught the blonde’s hand, and dragging her along with her, she hurried out of their hideaway and rushed toward another corridor at the opposite of the staircase and the terrace.
The brunette was a mission. She and Tina were finally alone and she had no intention of letting anyone interrupt them again. In fact, she was ready to run three marathons in a row holding her lover’s hand rather than having to go back to a party where she couldn’t gaze at the blonde more than a few seconds without it looking suspicious.
As she ran along the corridors, desperately trying to find some escape, or at least a private corner or room where they could take refuge, she heard some giggling behind her. She smiled at the marvelous sound and almost stumbled over her own feet when she briefly turned around and saw the look on Tina’s face. She was glowing… She was slightly flushed from the running but mostly from the excitement that was written all over her face, and she was gripping Bette’s hand as if her life depended on it. Her giggles soon became contagious, and unable to keep her laughter in, the brunette stopped at a corner and flattened Tina against the wall. She looked at her with sparkling eyes, and raised her finger to the blonde’s lips.

Awwwww, that was sooo beautiful and elegant. From hiding out from others, to the greenhouse and finally to their shared dance, sent a warm feeling through out my body. I will be waiting patiently for your return. Hope all goes well.

If you enjoy your holiday 1/10 as much as I have enjoyed your story, then it will be a vacation to remember. Your story has been a trip full of drama and beautiful romanticism. Somehow, your writing always hit just the right note — romantic but not sappy. It was a kind of freedom to read–I could let go of my usual cynicism detachment and just revel in the coming together of Bette and Tina despite so many obstacles. I can’t think of the last time that had happened. And maybe I’ll learn to tango!
