Jenny walked into her home and noticed something different. She walked into the living room and saw Marina and Veronica sitting on the couch. Marina looked up and smiled softly.

“Hey Jenny.”

“What’s going on?”

“Come and sit.” Jenny looked at Marina and then at Veronica. “We need to talk.”

Jenny crossed her legs. “What’s wrong?”

“Veronica and I would like to know if you could move out.”

“What?”

 Veronica butted in. “We want the house to ourselves.”

“Are you serious?” Marina nodded her head. “After you literally beg me to stay, you’re kicking me out? I can’t believe this.”

“I’m sorry Jenny, I never meant for this to happen.”

“Just save it Marina, I’ll go pack my things.” Jenny got up from the couch and walked into the spare bedroom that she was in. she grabbed her duffel bag and began to pack. She wiped the tears from her eyes and pulled things out of the closet. Marina came to the room and stood in the doorway.

“Jenny, I never wanted you to go. Veronica kept complaining about our living rearrangements and-.”

Jenny threw her pillow at her. “Oh shut up Marina. If you wanted me here, you would have stood up for yourself. You can save your lil’ speech, I’m out of here.” Jenny went through her drawers and grabbed her things. She continued to throw everything in her bag and packed up. Marina dropped her head and walked away. Jenny looked around the room, making sure everything was with her. She pushed her hair out of her face and sighed. She swung her bag over her shoulder and picked up her small one. She looked at the mirror in her room and looked at the lamp. She dropped her bag and picked up the lamp. She tossed across the room, hitting the mirror. Jenny smiled and grabbed her bag. She walked out of her room and down the hall. Veronica ran past her as she walked into the living room. Marina walked up to her.

“What was that?”

“It was my parting gift. I hope you like it.” Jenny walked past Marina and walked out the house. She put her bags in her car and looked at Marina’s vehicle. She walked alongside her car with her keys. She smiled as she jumped into her car and pulled out of the driveway.
