Dangerous world
”I’m not sure how I feel about bringing a baby into this world.” my wife says after tossing the newspaper she’d just read to the side. ”It’s a mess out there”
”It’s too late for doubts” I tell her.
Our baby is the size of a green olive today. Its the week of the muscles and i’m trying my best not to think about shootings or missing children reports but Bette’s subscribed to the parent alert magazine and its a struggle to keep it light and airy in this household, has been for the past three weeks. Whenever the baby’s future is brought up she shares a freak story from the magazine. I won’t lie, those stories scare the shit out of me but then I close my eyes and picture our baby’s, no doubt, sweet precious smile and my heart just melts. ”We’ll be fine” I tell her.
”I know. I don’t want you to think I have any regrets Tina. I don’t.”
”Good.”
”I’m just scared.
”It’s always been a mess babe. Only difference is now we have instant access to the world’s horrors. Don’t overthink it.”
She takes a deep breath, exhales and smiles at me. ”I love you, you know that.”
”I know”
”And you’re absolutely right” she pushes her chair back and stands. ”You want the rest of my bagel?”
I shake my head and she picks her plate up and walks off to the kitchen.”Besides,”she yells over her shoulder, ”Statistically our baby is more likely to get trampled on by an elephant than kidnapped at a park”
”What?” That can’t be right… right?
I wait until I hear the tap running then make a run for her magazine stack.

Sorry your stressed. Have a great weekend
This story reminds me of someone…hmmm….oh wait, its you! lol
If I had a dollar for every conversation about something you’ve watched or read…
great job on the writing btw. I’m ready for the next one. :)
Continue your story and let BETTE and TINA show you how they relieve stress.Turn off the phones, run a bath, get nekkid, wash each other, rinse each other off, drying is optional cuz you’ll be getting wet again, then go to bed where sleep is not an option until you are too tired to think and too satisfied to move.close your eyes.Life is too short to stress out about something /someone that if looked at differently wasn’t even worth the trouble or the time.IF YOU CAN FIX IT THEN DO IT ,IF YOU CAN’T, YOU CAN’T.
I know very well what it is as hectic routine and lack of time to rest open more space for stress, especially where I work Airport.
My technique to calm my stress, is to read the stories of Lesfan, as I
read yours, and this works for me.
Feel free to continue writing, even if you are not with stress, rsrsrsrs
Continue this story.
Bear hug.
All Stars.
