Chapter 47

“Well apparently that bitch’s family tree don’t branch… cause when the police went to pick her up she fuckin’ flipped. She broke one officers nose, busted a couple of ribs on another one, and just in case that wasn’t enough to put her away… she admitted to everything. They have her on two counts of assaulting an officer, assault for hitting Bette, breaking and entering, criminal vandalism, and since she managed to really piss them off they are going to slap her with a hate crime to.”
“Holy Shit!” Shane said as Kate stood there with her mouth wide open.
“We have to call them and let them know.”
“No way Kate… We gotta go tell them.”
* * * * *
“Hey it’s Jaelynn right?” Shane asked the nurse.
“Yes… how can I help you?”
“We are here to see Bette Porter.”
“I’m sorry but she is sleeping.”
“We know it is late, but it is very important. We have good news for them.” Kit added.
“Aren’t you her sister… Kit right?”
“Yes.. yes I am. We won’t be long, and we wouldn’t be here if it was anything that was going to upset her.”
“Alright.. but please keep it short… and I know that it is none of my business, but are you by chance here to tell them that the police caught that woman?” Jaelynn asked.
“Yes actually we are. They got her and she will not be getting out anytime soon.”
“That is wonderful news. You can head on back… but please remember she needs her rest.”
“We will thank you” Kit said with a smile.
The girls tip toed into the room and found both Bette and Tina sound asleep. Kit headed to Bette’s side of the bed, and Shane to Tina’s.
“Bette… Baby girl.. wake up baby sis.” Kit said as she gently tapped Bette’s shoulder.
“Tiney… wake up.. we have news.” Both women started to stir.
“Wha… What’s the matter?” Tina asked still half asleep. “Did somethings else happen?”

They have the neatest friends and a wonderful sister to boot. Just hope that the children are not missing their moms to much. Get the two home get Jodie out of their life and get the new baby her healthy thanks
I am happy that your parents place was spared. The feeling of loosing your home is overwhelming. Bette and Tina have a lot to be thankful for. They have wonderful friends who are just as much as family as the kids themselves.
Glad to know you parents property and the animals are OK. Missed the story good to see another chapter of it. Bette needs to get it out of her head to talk to jodi or see her. Jodi is crazy and very violent and would do anything to harm the baby, Bete and Tina and Tina’s children. She doesn’t want Bette but she does not want anyone else to have her either, thinking like that is very dangerous to those that have been harmed in the past. The perpetrator will not stop until they have done permanent damage or death, and they think they are justified in doing so. Tina is right, she should not let Bette get anywhere near that “psycho bitch” as Tina was thinking after the girls left. Great chapter. PPS

Glad to see this story back! Looks like Jodie got herself into some serious trouble. If all goes well she should do a little time. Glad to hear that your folks made it through…so many were not so lucky. We were sent to YL to help out with evacuations. That was the worst residential losses in OC in quite a while.
