Dark Crawler: Part 7

Chapter 7:
Tina’s House:
Tina was in her room lying on her bed, she was thinking about everything that happened today. Their day went great until she found out who the Dark Crawler really was.  The truth is Tina didn’t care that Bette is the Dark Crawler; she just wanted the truth from Bette. Tina was deep in thought and didn’t see someone out on her balcony. Before Bette went to talk to Tina, Bette wanted to think what she was going to say to her. Tina meant the world to Bette; she now regrets lying to her. After thinking about everything she decided to go and make amends with Tina.
Bette flew to Tina’s house, which is when she saw that Tina’s balcony door was open. She jumped and landed on Tina’s balcony that is when she saw Tina deep in thought. She waited until Tina noticed her there.
Tina noticed someone staring at her and turned her head towards the balcony. Bette was standing on the balcony in the Dark Crawler suit without her mask. She looked just like the last time she saw her. Before Bette could take a step into Tina’s bedroom Tina jumped off her bed and prevented Bette from coming into her bedroom. Bette noticed this and asked:” Tina, please let me come in. I’m not going to hurt you.”
“A little late for that don’t you think?”
“It’s never too late to explain.”
“Explain what Bette? How you lied to me?” Tina’s voice was getting higher,” All this time I thought that you were the Dark Crawlers helper. I never expected you to be the dark Crawler,” Tina was now shouting.
“Tina, please. Keep your voice down.” Tina respected that; no one needed know that the Dark crawler was on Tina Kennard’s balcony.
“I’m sorry, I’m just a little pissed right now. I thought you cared about me.”
“I do care about you Tina.”
“You didn’t care enough to trust me,” said Tina very sad. Just then Bette heard something, it was Natasha. Tina noticed this and told her:”It’s okay, I know that you need to go save people’s lives.”  Bette didn’t want to leave Tina before making amends with her, but she knew that she needed to defeat Natasha before doing anything else. So Bette focused a great deal to get her mask back on and flew away leaving Tina at the balcony.
Tina wasn’t the one to just wait; she decided to go back to the caves. Hopefully Alice and the other were there. All Tina knew is that she needed answers. While Bette went to search for Natasha, Tina went to the caves.  She didn’t think twice before entering the caves, it was dark and scary but Tina needed to know who Bette was. She got deeper in the caves when she saw a lighten room with 3 figures. Tina entered that room and saw Alice with a man and a women looking at 5 screens. It was Jarred who sensed someone in the caves, he turned around and noticed that it was Tina. That is when Alice and Sofia turned and saw Tina behind them.
“Tina, what are you doing here?” Alice asked Tina, but Tina kept silenced. “Bette is not here Tina; she went to help the Dark Crawler.”
“Who came up with that lie? Was it you Alice? Or was it one of you two?” said Tina pointing last to Jarred and Sofia. Alice didn’t catch up to what Tina was saying. “I know that Bette is the Dark Crawler.” Alice couldn’t believe that Bette had told Tina.
“I can’t believe she told you,” said Alice surprised.
“Bette didn’t tell me, the creature tore her mask off and I saw her.” Alice was in shock, she couldn’t even imagine what Tina was thinking at this moment.
“You must be terrified,” said Jarred. Tina turned around to face him and said:” I’m not terrified of what she is, I’m angry because she didn’t trust me enough. “ Alice intervened and said:” She trusted you Tina.” Tina chuckled and said sarcastically:”Yeah, that’s why she told me who she is right?”
Alice shook her head and said:”You don’t understand…” Tina became angry in a split second and shouted:”What don’t I understand Alice, explain to me. Because apparently I’m the only one who doesn’t get it.” Alice was became agitated and said:”look, she wanted to tell you since you guys hooked up. But she got scared, you mean everything to her. She didn’t want you to get hurt.  She has a lot of enemies, they could no they will use your love against you.” Tina interrupted Alice and asked:”Love? She told you she loved me?” Alice calmed down and said:” yeah, that woman is in love with you. She only wants your safety.”
Sofia came up to Tina and said:”Your love is greater than her abilities. It’s greater than any power in this galaxy. Your love will continue thru centuries, you’ll be known as her mate. A role model for future generations. Don’t you get it, Sara’s greatest weakness is your love. Her enemies will use it against you, she was afraid of telling you this huge secret. “Tina felt bad that she had accused Bette of not trusting her, when all she was trying to do is protect her.
“Where is she, I need to talk to her,” Tina directed her question to Alice.
“She’s flying over the city, trying to find Natasha.”
“Last time she went against her she beat her up,” Tina said scared for Bette. Jarred noticed this and said:”Don’t worry Tina; Sara will be fine she’s stronger than you think.”
“Who’s Sara?” asked Tina curious. Alice intervened and said:”That’s Bette’s birth name. That’s how all the creatures know who she is.” Tina realized that there was a lot about Bette she didn’t know. “Don’t worry about it Tina, Bette will tell you everything when she is finished with her assignment.”
Then someone’s voice came on the speaker, it was Bette:”I can’t find Natasha Alice, are you sure she was around the east side?” Alice ran to the pc and checked it again. “Try the west side Bette, she keep changing course.”
“I think that she’s trying to lead me in a trap.” Jarred intervened:”Bette don’t worry this time Sofia is ready if you need help.”
“NO! I will do this on my own, it’s my destiny.” All Tina could do was look at the screens and listen. “I will defeat her.” A few minutes later and Bette is on the west side off the city. “Do you see or hear anything Bette?” asks Alice.
“Yeah, I think I see the homeless guy who was with Natasha at the school this morning. I’m going in.”
“Be careful Sara, it could be a trap,” said Jarred.
“I will be, don’t worry,” said Bette flying down. It was dark alley, which was really dirty. Sofia, Jared, Alice and Tina could see everything Bette was seeing. Bette kept walking in the dark alley, and then Natasha appeared before her. Bette braced herself.
“You don’t have to be afraid of me Sara,” Natasha said laughing evil. “Why did you call me Natasha?”
“I think it is obvious that I need to defeat you.”
“For your own purpose? Or for Darcon’s?”
Natasha started to become agitated:”I’m not in Darcon’s possession. I do what I want. And Darcon can’t stop me”
“So, killing me is not because Darcon ordered you?” Natasha’s temper rose and she lashed at Bette knocking Bette down on the ground. Bette immediately got up and said:” I can clearly see that it angers you that Darcon has so many power over you.”
“He has no power over me, Sara. Don’t over estimate yourself. “
“I’m not; I just wonder why all of you, my enemies are fighting onder orders of Darcon. You talk as if he’s your leader, but the purpose of this war is to defeat the person who is to be your leader, me.” Bette knew she hit a nerve, that’s when the fighting started. A couple of punches from Natasha and a couple from Bette. Bette threw Natasha on the ground, Bette thought she was unconscious. When Bette came up to her, Natasha surprised Bette by hitting her so hard that she flew far. Bette was thrown so hard that she landed somewhere outside the city. Bette landed on a huge tree, knocking the tree on the ground. Before Bette could get up, Natasha kicked her in the head.
At the caves they lost connection, the connection went as far as the city. The computers didn’t get any signals in the woods. “Why can’t we see them anymore?” asked Tina concerned. “I don’t think the signal goes beyond the city,” Alice tried to get signal but nothing. “I’m sorry, but we lost them.” Tina was getting really worried about Bette. “Jarred, maybe Sofia needs to go check things out,” says Alice. “No, Sara told us not to. We shall respect her wishes,” answered Jarred. “But those wishes might get her killed,” said Tina concerned. All of them looked at each other and just waited.
Bette slowly got up, recovering from just being kicked in the head by Natasha. Natasha immediately came up to her, picked her up on her collar. “Give up yet?” Bette was exhausted. “Never.” Natasha looked her in the eye and said:”You know, they said you’re almighty and powerful. For me this was a pretty easy beating. They made you to be more powerful than you really are, and I thought you were a challenge what a joke.” said Natasha throwing Bette down and spitting on her. Bette immediately got up and with super speed punched Natasha in the back. Bette went for another punch, but Natasha stopped her and punched her in the face. But Bette wasn’t about to give up. Bette recovered immediately and hit her again in the face, then stomach and then knocked her on the ground.
Bette ran to Natasha picked her up and pushed her against a tree. Still holding Natasha against a tree she asked:”Where did you come from?”
“What is it to you?”
“I would like to have a life, without my enemies after me all the time.”
Natasha chuckled:”It’s your destiny to be killed by one of us.”
“No, my destiny is to save the world from creatures like you.”
“Haha, good luck with that. You might have defeated me, but there will be others. They won’t be as easy as me; they’ll beat you so bad that you’ll wish you were dead.” Bette was furious, she wanted to kill Natasha. But she knew there had to be another way. Bette knocked Natasha out and brought her to the caves. Bette didn’t even notice that Tina was in the caves.
Jarred became nervous at seeing Natasha so close.”Sara, why did you bring her here?”Bette was carrying Natasha; she threw her on the ground and answered:”This has got to stop, there has to be another way to defeat these creatures. I will not kill another of my kind.”
“But, she is not of your kind. She is your enemy.”
“She’s my enemy because I was born.  Remember the time that we were all friends? Living in peace on our planet? I will punish these creatures but I will not kill them.” Jarred noticed what the Oracle told their kind many centuries ago, this leader would guide them into a better life. Better life without bloodshed.
“You truly are Sara, our born leader.” Bette didn’t understand the change in Sofia and Jarred’s behavior.
“What do you mean?”
“The Oracle told us, that you were not only send here to save us. But to guide us into a better life without bloodshed. Without knowing that you just told us that you don’t want bloodshed,” said Jarred,”That is why Garcon made a prison for all your enemies. He believed in your power.” Bette came up to Jarred and asked:”There is a prison? Why didn’t you tell me before?”
“The oracle told us that we could only tell you of your history, we had to let you figure out your destiny on your own. Relies who you are, doing what you were meant to do.” Bette relisted then that she had a huge weight on her shoulders. Jarred went to a box and got something from it. He came back to Bette and showed her.
“What is this?” Bette could see that it was a stone.
“Garcon found this stone in a cave, when he was hiding from Darcon. This stone ended up being more than just a piece of rock. You should use it to send Natasha to another dimension.” Bette carried Natasha outside taking the stone. Tina wanted to follow her but Alice stopped her.
“Tina, it’s too dangerous.” Tina understood that this might be too dangerous for her; one thing was certain is that they were going to talk when Bette was finished with Natasha.
When Bette went outside she put Natasha on the ground, and then brought the stone to her hand. And without knowing, a portal opened. Natasha was wakening up when she relisted what Sara was going to do.  Bette turned to Natasha directed the stone towards her, paralyzing Natasha. “How did you get that stone?”
“A friend gave it to me, it beats killing you.”
“The stone of Alkavas. I will be imprisoned for eternity.” Bette felt bad for Natasha, but she knew that this is what she needed to do.  She picked Natasha up and threw her into the portal. “Nooooooo!!” Bette heard Natasha scream.
Bette returned to the caves, and gave Jarred the Stone of Alkaves. “The stone of Alkaves?” Bette asked jarred. Jarred was surprised that Bette knew the stones origin. “How do you know its origin?”
“Natasha told me, before getting thrown into the prison. What is Alkaves?”
“It’s where Garcon found the stone, that’s how the stone got its name.”
“Does it Alkaves exist?”
“No, it was destroyed along with our planet. Alkery.”
“Alkery?”
“Yes, that was our planets name. Alkaves was the cave situated in the middle of our planet. Our people were called Alkeries.”
“So, you’re telling me that because of this war our planet has been destroyed?” Jarred nodded. “Because of me, this war started.” Jarred went to Bette and told her:”No, it’s not your fault. They choose to ignore Alkeries destiny. Darcon didn’t want change, he couldn’t accept change. He refused to be ruled by a women.” Bette was about to get out of the caves when she noticed Tina, Bette couldn’t believe what she saw. Tina immediately went to Bette and hugged her. Bette accepted this, it also calmed her.  Tina broke their embrace and took Bette face in her hands and kissed her. “We’ll talk at home.”  Bette nodded and turned to Jarred.
”So, our planet has been destroyed forever?” Jarred dropped his head and said:”Yeah, unfortunately yes.”
“Can it ever be recovered?”
“No, it can’t. Alkery is lost forever. Darcon group of Alkeries have a secret hideout. For years we’ve been trying to find it with no luck.” Bette signed and dropped on a chair, putting her head in her hands. “Sara, there was nothing you could do to save our planet and friends.” Jarred comforted Bette.
“How can I be an Alkery if I wasn’t born there?” Jarred didn’t answer, instead he looked at Sofia.
“What’s wrong? Why can’t you answer that question?” asked Alice. Alice, Tina and Bette were wondering the same thing. Bette came up to Sofia and Jarred. “What’s wrong with me?” Jarred and Sofia looked up to Bette.
“Nothing is wrong with you Sara,” answered Jarred.
“Then why won’t you answer me?” Jarred took a deep breath.
“As you know the battle happened many centuries ago, but the oracle told them that your birth was set out until now. Garcon sensed that by the time you were born, Alkery would already be destroyed. That would mean that you would never exist, because the parents that were destined to give birth to you would die. He went to the oracle and asked her for help, she told him that because of this war your existent might happen. Garcon asked her who your parent’s were.” Jarred didn’t say anything for a moment, but Bette wanted to know who her real parents were. “Jarred, who are they?” 
“Your mother and father were descent people, never complaint about anything. Your father Sol was a healer and your mother Brianna was a teacher,” Jarred told Bette.
“Sol and Brianna?”
“Yeah, your father always took care of your mother. But even with their powers they didn’t survive.” Bette bowed her head, she wanted to cry. “Bette, your parents accepted that they had to led you go in order for you to live. When Garcon found out who your future parents would be, he wanted to get them to safety. Your parents refused to leave their planet. When they found out that they were your parents, they were surprised. They didn’t understand how fate could want them to raise such a powerful child, but that’s when they knew that if they didn’t get away you would not exist. Your mother got the idea to fertilize another being with her eggs and your father’s sperm. The oracle told them to go to the planet earth and there choose the family they trusted the most.”
“Is that how Isabel and Melvin Porter met them?” when Alice asked this, Jarred had Bette undivided attention.
“No, Melvin Porter never knew them.”
“So, you’re saying my mother did?” Jarred nodded at Bette’s question. “She knew all this time?”
“Yes, she did. But your birthmother told her to secrecy. You were meant to find out on your own, you had to realize your own destiny. You don’t realize the pain Isabel Porter was in when Brianna had to leave again for planet Alkery. The time that they were here, they formed a great friendship. Brianna told Isabel that one day she will be unexpectedly pregnant. And it won’t be Melvin’s child. Isabel Porter didn’t care, she trusted your parents enough. And she kept on the promise; she loved you as if you were her own. Has she ever given you doubt?”
