Dana got home and turned off the engine to her Subaru. She didnt want to be here but she walked into her house as if on auto pilot. She couldnt believe what happened. All the way from the Planet back to her house she has been thinking about nothing but Bette and Tina. She couldnt think about her kiss with Alice. Compared to Bette and Tinas troubled marriage, her kiss with Alice was nothing. Bette and Tina were the exemplary couple. Throughout their seven years together, Dana, Shane and Alice have always thought of them as their relationship saviors. Theyre the ones whom Dana goes to when she has problems, the one she depended on when she was unsure and one she look up to when her own relationship falls apart. And what now? Who will help her through her relationship troubles? And who will be there when she wanted to know for sure if the girl she fancies is actually *****? Because everybody knows Danas gaydar somehow needs a fine tuning here and there. She sighed.

She dropped her keys on the table next to the TV and slumped onto the couch facing it. She picked up a photo frame of the group taken last summer that was sitting next to the couch. Alice had one arm around Danas waist, and another on Shanes shoulder. Bette and Tina had their arms around each other and were looking at each other lovingly. Alice, Dana and Shane were smiling into the camera, all happy during their summer break in the sun. Those were happy times. Will it happen again, or will everything be awkward for everyone?

Dana knew that Bette and Tina were the glue that holds the group together. Without them everyone would drift apart. And Dana doesnt like the fact that she might be losing all her friends. Ive got to do something. Somehow I have to get Tina back with Bette. But Bette cheated on her. How could she? How can anyone get past the cheating? ***** Bette you really have fucked up royally this time! ***** who am I to judge Bette when Im one who kissed my best friend twice! She shook her head and sighed. She looked at her watch, oh *****, Tonya! Tonya will be home any minute now. What am I going to do with Tonya? I dont want to end up like Bette and Tina as much as I want to have whatever they had before I have to talk to Tonya as soon as she gets home.

Dana got up from the couch and went upstairs to prepare for her fianc who was coming home with one mission in mind

I cant ***** believe this. How could she? How could she do this to Tina? Shane drove her truck not knowing where to go. She just needed to clear her head. Her plan was to talk to Bette and Tina asking their advice on how to heal her heart. But now that she knows what happened between them, she was at a loss. She doesnt know who to turn to. She has no one else besides Bette and Tina. They were her perfection. If they couldnt make it as a couple, who else would?

Shane stopped by the pier and parked her truck. ***** ***** ***** ***** *****! She rested her head on the wheels trying to think of what to do and what to make out of the situation she was in and Bette and Tina were in. Why Bette? Why do you have to go and ***** it all up! What Shane didnt understand was why Bette did it. She thought they were going strong. They were so much in love. Bette loves Tina and Tina loves Bette just as much. The love they have is apparent even a blind man can sense the love pouring out. She remembers how worried Bette was of Tina when she was being stalked and she flew back to LA from New York the first flight she could take. She also remembers how lovingly Bette looks at Tinas eyes every time they danced together. And how hurt Bette was when she found out she was second to last to know that Tina was pregnant. And Tina was always by Bettes side whatever comes their way but now? Will she still stand by her wife?

These thoughts keep playing in Shanes head. She needed to have a role model. She needed to have someone to look up to. She needed someone to show her that true love exists. She needed to see true love with her own eyes. But most of all she needs her two friends to find their way back to each other again

Tina

Tina was near tears when she saw Bette on the bed struggling. Her face covered with her curls and stuck to her face. She was sweating heavily and her t-shirt clung onto her skin. The covers dropped to the floor and Tina saw her dress from the night before at the foot of the bed. She didnt know what to do so she moved closer wanting to wake Bette from her dreams.

She slowly reached for Bettes shoulder so she could rid her from the demons. Before she could, Bette moved away from her tossing and turning and crying out Tinas name over and over apologizing and pleading. What am I doing to her? Tina thought. This time, Tina couldnt take it any longer. She reached for Bettes arms and called out her name.

Bette? Bette? Wake up! Its me. Im here. Please wake up She said in between tears. She shook Bettes shoulder this time. Bette stopped moving. Her breaths slowed down and her eyes closely shut. Bette open your eyes. Please its just me Tina sat down next to Bette, their faces inches apart. Tina moved Bettes fair from her face and tucked a few strands behind her ear.

Bette opened her eyes. She blinked twice, three times just to make sure she wasnt dreaming. She frowned and touched Tinas cheeks. Her touch sent electricity down Tinas body. She released her hand from her cheeks and looked into Tinas eyes with confusion.

Bette, please whats happening to you? Please say something, anything!

Bette just stared at her for a moment longer. She just couldnt believe the image in front of her. She couldnt believe her Tina was sitting just inches from her. She couldnt believe she was just touching Tinas cheek a while ago. She thought she might never see her again, not after last night. She just couldnt believe it.

Tina was worried. Whats going on with Bette? It was only last night that Tina left her. From the outside it would look like it had been weeks, even months! Tina was scared because shes never seen her like this. As much as Tina hated Bette right now, she knows deep inside she still loves her and Bette loves her too. But Tina just wasnt ready to forgive Bette, not just yet. As if reading her thoughts, Bette suddenly pulled Tina into a hug not wanting to let go and cried her heart out.
