Destined Souls : Chapter 2

Tina closed the distance between them and gave Bette a hug . Tears had started flowing down Bette’s cheeks . Bette was thanking her Gods in her mind . Tina slowly pulled away from her , still smiling . Tears had welled up in Tina’s eyes too . Both just stood there holding on to each others hands , the enormity of the situation making its presence felt .

Tina: Hi Bette

Bette: Hi Tee

The Encounter : Chapter 2

It had been almost five years since they had last seen each other . So to say that, it was really nice to see each other again , was an understatement . They never thought they could see each other again although they had both wished , no , longed to see each other after the initial shock , hurt and anger of separation had worn off . This was definitely a pleasant surprise !!

Bette: You look beautiful Tee

Tina : Thanks Bette .

Tina blushed a little . This didn’t go unnoticed by Bette . Bette gave Tina a huge smile . Her heart was filled with so much joy seeing that even after all this time and after what had happened she still had that effect on Tina . But who was she kidding Tina was having the exact same effect on her too .

Tina was absolutely glowing . She looked radiant . Tina looked even more beautiful, if that was even possible, than the first time Bette had first laid eyes on her so many years ago . Bette noticed that Tina was wearing a stunning business suit . Bette had forgotten how incredibly ***** Tina looked in a business suit . She was oozing confidence and she looked so much focused and in control .  

Yet she somehow appeared calm like she had at last found the happiness and peace that she was looking for . Looking at her, Bette too felt at ease . Tina’s warm and inviting personality and of course her beauty was what had drawn Bette to her all those years ago .

Bette had been looking at Tina so intently , almost to the point of staring , that when she noticed Tina’s questioning stare , she felt a little embarrassed and gave Tina a shy smile .

Tina : You look good Bette .

Bette: Thanks Tee .

Bette was smiling at Tina through her tears which hadn’t stopped flowing . Even then to Tina , Bette was looking so beautiful and amazing . Her appearance had hardly changed over the years . Bette Porter was still the Charmer . Bette was wearing her trademark power suit . Which was not a surprise ! considering she was at the Four Seasons .

Bette looked so happy though . Tina wondered if Bette was happy to see her or……………? Tina noticed that there was a twinkle in Bette’s eyes and that Bette was looking at her intently , like she was in a deep thought . Tina suddenly felt a little conscious under Bette’s gaze .

There was a moment of awkward silence . They just stood there looking at each other like they were trying to read each other’s minds and reactions ; like they were trying to determine the future course of action .

So many emotions were playing on Bette’s face and considering the way Tina knew Bette , she could very clearly read what Bette was feeling at the exact moment just by looking into her deep soulful eyes . Tina thought , what was that , was it a shy smile from Bette ? Oh my god , she could never imagine the Bette Porter she knew to be shy !!

I guess Bette sure has changed over the years . But then again we both have .

Now Tina felt a little bold and realized that she might have to start the conversation . So Tina cleared her throat a little , still gazing into those soulful mesmerizing eyes before her . How she lost herself in those beautiful eyes .

Tina smiled as memories flooded her thoughts still exciting her .

Tina : You wanna go get some coffee ?

 Bette: Uh..No ………
