Discovering Aphrodite
Bette leant on her hand, looking at the blonde hair fanning the pillow beside her.
She couldn’t help but smile at the soft snore coming from the sleeping form.
“Oh Tina, Tina, Tina…” she whispered to herself, not meant for anyone’s ears but her own.
It had been a night filled with intense passion, gentle passion, great feeling and they had even got to that tickling and laughing stage before realising the intensity and it turning into passion once again. But it was the ‘feeling’ thing she was having trouble separating from all the rest.
Maybe it came from having only just come out of a relationship…, she wasn’t used to ‘no strings’, ‘no commitments’, but she needed to, needed to separate all of it down to the simple fact they were on holiday and they happened to become involved in a sexual relationship for a week out of their lives.
Simple.
For some strange reason in that moment she could hear her friend Alice chirping away in her head, ‘Porter you need to lightened up, get a decent fucking life and kick that other goddamn prissy knickers to the kerb…, find someone who makes you laugh, but that doesn’t include me, because you know we have been there and it just didn’t work for me…, but you know Porter, you just need to chill out…, you work too much and she doesn’t treat you properly…, please find someone who at least makes you smile…’
She sighed, Alice had been right when they had talked about her girlfriend, she was a prissy knickers, but she hadn’t had the chance to kick her to the kerb because she had been kicked there first, and it had been a resounding relief when it had happened. She had never believed how unhappy she had become.
When did her life become an avoidance? All work and no play, but that’s because she didn’t want to play…, not with prissy knickers anyway…
But now, a few days into her holiday and all she had done was play…, Kit would be proud of her and Alice even prouder…
Bette smiled as Alice’s voice appeared once again, if only she knew, ‘Oh my god you really had sex all night long…, go Porter…, I was beginning to think you’d had it sewn up…’

Another wonderfully written chapter Jo. I think that Bette and Tina are going to find that this much magnatism between two people in just a few days will not subside when the holiday does. How could either of them walk away after this…it’s not just a holiday romance. I hope the hospital visit is a short one Jo…looking forward to your next post.

“it’s not a myth and I am not kissing you with morning breath…” !! I knew Tina was the voice of reason and wisdom ! Hahaha ! But seriously, everytime I’m reading a fic and two people are described kissing in bed in the morning I can’t help but think to myself : ” whaaat ? They haven’t even brushed their teeth but they’re already just one caress away from having sex !! “. I really liked the fact that this was realistic, Jo, even though this all seems like a fairytale… Anyway, I’ve only found out about this new story of yours a couple of days ago but I’m very very fond of it. I love the lighthearted spirit of it ( even though we all know you’re the queen of drama. Hehehe ! ) and the contrast with the intensity of B & T’s feelings for each other ( since I guess it’s pretty clear they’re already in love with each other, even though they’re probably scared to admit it to themselves so soon ). You are a wonderful storyteller, Jo and I think your talent as an author is still unmatched in the history of fanfiction. At least, your prose is delightful to me and I’m once again completely hooked on one of your fics. Oh, and did I mention how endearing your Tina is here ? ( this from one of Bette’s biggest fan ).
