    Divergence

Tina rolled over on her side. The bare shoulder of her partner tantalizingly close. She couldn’t help but scoot closer to take a taste.

Laying on her stomach but facing her partner, Bette’s eyes fluttered open. “Morning.”

Moving her body even closer, Tina let her lips continue their exploration of her partner’s back.

Savoring the sensations, Bette rolled onto her side. She slipped a hand behind Tina’s head and gently guided the blonde’s lips to her own.

It took mere moments until the women picked up where they’d left off the night before. They had fallen asleep in each others arms, spent from lovemaking. All clothing had been quickly discarded when they’d returned from a night out with friends. The morning found them in the same condition. The renewed state of the relationship had also renewed their desire for each other.

Not that things weren’t different from when they had lived together previously. Their lives were still split between two households. Their passions sometimes had to be forestalled or forgotten based upon the whims and wants of their daughter.

The challenges they faced in rediscovering each other just made them stronger as a couple. They were forced to deal with immediate issues, forced to communicate needs. Through it all, the passion flowed between them. Helped them to overcome all challenges.

“I have a meeting this morning.” Tina pulled back to catch a breath. “We need to be quick.”

“And if I don’t want to be quick?” Bette’s words teased, as did her fingers.

“You want to be quick.” Tina grabbed hold of Bette’s hand, guiding its destination.

Feeling how wet her partner was, how ready, and knowing that this reaction was all for her spurred Bette’s efforts. To her, Tina’s body had always been a fine instrument. She had long ago learned her lover’s responses, how to enhance or to delay satisfaction. This morning called for efficiency.

As Tina’s arousal increased, her mouth again found Bette’s. This time instead of the rich, slow kisses, her tongue sought out Bette’s. She used her tongue to express to Bette all that the other woman was doing to her body.

    1. Mmm… you do know that was evil, don’t you? At least let Bette have a little relief first. LOL. Oh, ok, that was bad, my sense of humor always was a bit off. Lovely written. The first part is all that i hope i could see on the show, Bette and Tina being playful and sexy and loving and building their life back together. It was like it was sunny and then suddenly it got plunged into darkness. And Jodi making an appearance with Angelica reacting to Jodi… If Tina died when Angelica was this young she’d probably always look at Jodi as her mom, and that’s just so wrong on so many levels *shivers* Once again congratulations, beautifully written. Now here’s to hoping season 6 sees both Bette and Tina healthy and in love and together.

    2. Uh…hm..and there I thought as of last Sunday I was done with the drama for this year. Clears Throat! That’s just sooooo sad!!!Beautifully Written though. Begging: Is that Tina’s twin who we never met? Could it be a clone? Hoax? Government Conspiracy? Couldn’t we bring in Mulder and Scully?

    3. Ouch, that was brutal. For real. Killing Tina? Making Angelica overly loving toward Jodi? Damn, did Tina badmouth your Mom? That was really, really sad. Thank god IC seems to be planning better stuff for TiBette in S6. Never thought I’d say that.. thanks for the well written but painful read.

    4. Jesus H. Pseud! We have just got them back together and …..what did you just do? I’m begging….do NOT have this as a chapter 1, please, please, please……….I think you need to make up for that, and quick! LOL. PPS.

    5. YOu so did not just do that. Has IC been talking to you or something. We wait four years to get them back together. Come on , its a dream right, cos I know you would not do this to B&T.

    6. Oh my god…I can’t believe you just did that…are you taking “cruelty to Tibetter” lessons from I.C.? Oh please write an alternate ending to this….I loved the rest of it (sniffs and walks away sad).

    7. OMG NO!!! How could you!!!! this is some chapter from Jenny’s book right????? And it’s Bette or Tina narrating. OMG Please say that is what it was!!!!

    8. Ok….. that’s just… F*CKED UP! If you’re gonna kill Tina, at least replace her with Helena or Barbara Grisham so that Bette can have a HOT girlfriend. Arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

    9. I can’t believe you just did that. I thought you loved our girls??? Please tell me this is some kind of bad dream. YOu and Chicki are killing me here. Still love your writing though… :) I’m sure your next post will be when Bette wakes up from this awful dream. right? RIGHT??

    10. Great story !!! I’m just praying that Bette was having a really awful nightmare… Please don’t let this be the end for Bette and Tina… Angie needs both of her mommy’s…

    11. Can’t believe you killed our girl off just when they were getting back together. Please tell me this is someone’s version of a really bad nightmare. A dream, as in Dallas.

    12. Okay pseud….this is a dream, right? Bette is having and when she wakes up Tina will be in bed next to her, stroking her hair to soothe away this horrible nightmare. If we want death in our lead actresses, we’ll just call on IC.*** Oh wait….she already did that***LOL! Gotta love the drama . PS.

    13. I was just going to say that I loved your last 2 chapters since I seem to always be behind in reading. But you have gone and broken my heart. You have killed off TINA. You can’t do that, No you can not do that. It is a dream, right just a dream. Just like season 3 was a dream the last half of this chapter is a dream also, right.

    14. I’m going to have to withold judgement. I couldn’t get past when the doctor said that they had done all they could. Seahurst wrote a story where Tina died, and I couldn’t finish reading it either. But, she encouraged me to read it to the end, and it was beautiful. So, I’m going to wait to see, if there’s another post, if not, I’ll just leave it at that. Fictional or not, life itself, is full or drama and pain. If I wanted that, I’d just read the local paper, or watch the news.

    15. em… well written and all, but, why would you kill Tina? what kind of thoughts could be going through someones mind to write tina’s death? i dont get it.

    16. I still can’t believe what you did. I miss words.I almost hate you, although you’ve killed fictional character, although you have some reasons to do so, I still, can’t believe that you’ve killed Tina. Some people think that tragic endings have also their greatness – they make think those who live. But I can’t agree with that. It’s a shame – to kill main heroes only in order to impress even cold and indifferent people.Crying and grieving is much easier that planning future. It may look nice and romantic – Tina is killed, Bette will love her till the end of her days, an example of real true love. But it doesn’t look that way for me – I can accept bad ending only if author would give the other chance for happiness. If the main heroes will get a chance to start over, to try once again… I may be wrong but I don’t understand what good can be found in killing the main heroes? Destroying the beauty of love? People need to be encouraged to believe in love& happiness and not the reverse. Havent we had enough of disappointments in our real life? I believe, books, movies, any other art should inspire its audience to believe in good things as love, friendship, should make us better. It shouldn’t kill the hope. That’s why your story is wrong.

    17. It’s well written and all, but what a downer. I wonder what spurred this story? Well, I’m gonna rinse off the tragic ending from my thoughts for now. Thanks just the same.

    18. Shocked, speechless – I don’t understand why you have done this. It’s absolutly not funny. First Chicki killed presumable B&T and now you. I thought you are a Tibetter. And Jodie in the picture. WTF. I have loved your stories. I cannot calm down at all. Please fix this. Bette have a nightmar or a presentiment… And please get Jodi for ever out of the picture an Bettes and Angies live. She has done enough and Bette humiliated. I never liked Jodi.

    19. Well, first of all, a story like this makes me think a writer had a *really* crappy day. I hope that’s not the case. Secondly, I find it really disconcerting that this is exactly the storyline I was contemplating yesterday, but then I decided my bad mood didn’t warrant it. Finally, I have to say, having a fictional character taken from you is kind of sad and makes me feel melancholy, but it reminded me to appreciate the 3-D world I inhabit, and to be thankful for the health and well being of those I still have around me. It’s very hard to live with regret after someone is gone from your life, but if you’ve lived your truest self up to that loss, it’s an easier passage. And damn, look at the list of comments! You drew ’em out of the wood work with that one. Not likely that will dissuade you from a similar ploy in the future, one imagines. Well written as always.

    20. you know its funny the things you think when you lose someone unexpectedly like how when the dr. mentioned arrangements bette thought of a ceremony. And soon she will think of their morning they spent together and of tinas promise, now never to be fulfilled, to reciprocate her love for bette in the evening when they got home then she’ll think of how when she woke to kisses and promises she never imagined today would be that day….what a tragedy.

    21. LOL. I was ready to read a wonderful and nice story just to give me some courage for the day :p And Now Tina is dead :p Anyway, It was really well written, and I really enjoyed reading you! Thanks ! :) Barbara

    22. Dear author, here I am, discovering your stories so many years after you wrote them and yet, I feel the need to express my emotions…
Yesterday, between two lovely chapters of yours, I read this awfully painful end-of-story and it haunted me for the rest of the day, between pain and anger… Pain, for I am and will always be a Bette&Tina lover as well as a deep romantic. So, anger too because I felt shocked.
But then, I thought about your work and it took sense : in life, we’re all living as if tomorrow will never happened, as if death doesn’t exist – simply because it’s human failure. Our protection. But here, in fiction world, where we love to let our dreams and hopes live, strangely it seems even more difficult to accept sudden tragedy.
For me, it seems that it was your exact point : to let us touch this awful truth that happiness can end anytime. That everyone should savour each moment for we ignore if next hour could take everything from our lives, forever… So, even if it was hard to read, awfully hard, I thank you, For the philosophy. Sense over sensitivity…
You were truly talented and I’m still discovering your last stories – hoping for your return here… Why not ? :-)
Your faithful reader from Switzerland – A.
