Drowning 14

Tina and Alice walked into Alice and Danas house. Tina was carrying Cara, who was sleeping in her arms and Alice had the bags.

Hey T, follow me, Ill put the bags down and let you put Cara to sleep. They walked upstairs and Alice put the bags down on the bed and helped Tina with the travel crib.

Over here is the intercom. If you hit the switch here, itll stay on and work like a baby monitor. Im going to run to the kitchen and make sure I have everything for dinner. Come on down when you get Cara settled.  Alice said as she turned and kissed Caras head. Tina smiled at her when she left the room.

A few minutes later Tina came down the stairs. Alice, your house is beautiful. The pictures that you sent me didnt do it justice.

Ah, thanks, TK. I cant believe you have never been here before. It just seems so wrong to have to show you where things are in here.

Im sorry, Al. I really missed a lot.

Yeah, its been a ***** of a few years.

Im sorry. I havent been a good friend, have I? Tina asked with depressed voice.

Alice looked over at her friend and saw the sadness. Come here, Alice demanded as she pulled Tina into a hug. Its ok, T. Really. We all understood why you left. It doesnt mean we dont still miss you. But we really did understand. Even Shane. She pulled slightly away from Tina to look in her eyes, You know, she is the biggest mush of all of us. Dont you? She just hides it better, or at least tries. And she has always loved you T. You know that, right?

Of course I know she loves me. She has always been such a good friend.

That isnt what I mean and you know it. She loves you. Not like she wants to jump you or anything, ick Alice said smiling at Tina, but youre like, well, I guess, youre her ideal. You know? Shes always had this schoolgirl crush on you.

Tina looked at Alice in disbelief, She does not. Alice, you always find drama, even when there isnt any.
