Eternally your: when a lifetime is not enough # 11

They didn’t seam to understand what Alice was saying.

“This- is- so-not- going -to –happen, girls! Tina would never, EVER believe in Bette’s words! I wouldn’t either!…Sorry, but this is a fact! Reincarnation, other lifetimes…This is good while literature or some movie, but…THIS is real life and in real life: Tina loves Meltic. She will marry the guy, sooner or later. She wouldn’t leave her life behind to…to…believe…in something …so….you know…irrational. ”

“She should believe…” Dana interrupted the advance of Alice’s absence of faith. “She would believe when she meets Bette…She should, Alice… She must…”

“She must?! Why, darling?! Why the hell, she should believe?! Be real! She loves Meltic…The guy is per-fect!”

    “She thinks she loves…”

    “For Christ’s sake…What ARE you?”

Alice tried hard to elaborate her thoughts, to calm down, but it seams she was in the kindergarten surrounded by children. And if that was true, the only adult at the room was about to loose control.

“Don’t tell me you are The Knights of the Round Table?!” She let her eyes found each of them “And are you Dana, the reincarnation of Sir Galahad?” The journalist could see Dana’s hurt and regretted immediately. “…I…Sorry…I mean…GOD! How you are so damn sure?”

“Because, Al, they are soulmates…” Dana murmured.

And Alice searched their faces. She couldn’t believe that a fragile reason, a weak motive, nonsense, a childish judgment from that nature could convince that adult, experienced women so absolutely.

And also, the journalist would love to know, why the fuck, she had been also convinced by the unreasonable answer.

For the first time Bette could perfectly see who killed her body and threw her soul into this limbo. That’s why her sleep wasn’t peaceful. It was a battle. She was cut by the memory of their laughs: His and hers. Her chest was devoured by the sound of their lovemaking. His and hers. The past screamed details she didn’t want to know.

Was her destined to re-live this tragedy after centuries, maybe millenniums, of communion between their souls? Was this her punishment or the price she must pay for the happiness she had lived once?

With the perceptions she captured, Bette understood that her body is just a clothing to shelter her soul during the time of a lifetime. She remembered lifetimes by the side of the love of each and every life she had lived. Now her name is Christina and the mocha could remember unforgettable years by the side of that soul. Lifetimes made with sugar and cinnamon.

The brunette’s face frowned while her sleep became a tormented sea.

So why then the blonde´s spirit got caught in this warp of incidents. Why so much fear, blindness and skepticism? Tina once was a true believer and now, Alice painted her as an incredulous.

And for the first time, the gallery owner let the thought took place: how would she react if her lover, Tina, her soul mate, disappeared without any explanation?

The mocha had already experienced something weighted with pain: how Bette was feeling knowing that Tina was by the side of another. A Man. Other soul. Other than hers. Bette’s best answer to the question was that she would feel damned by the Goddess.

That’s how her lover also felt. That’s the reason of so much fear and discredit. Tina felt abandoned.

But, still, there was a black curtain over her memories.

The art collector slept over almost 24 hours and when she woke up she was feeling sick. Sick with the idea of Tina and her lover together. Sick with the idea that she would have to face them again, in flesh and blood.

All the fourth where in silence. They were amused, but tired with the story. Dana brought them pizza and sat by Alice’s side.

When all of them had served themselves with some pizza and coke, Alice calmly said: “Ok… I can do something…”

Anything we could add, would not do justice to the extraordinary way in which you are bringing this story to life. Just wonderful, Braz! Thanks for making us part of the journey of this unique and fantastic story. PPS Hugs & Kisses on both your cheeks. – Lucero & Marsha (Latin JC’s Salsa Aunties) P.S. You still have tomorrow (saturday) to answer more questions, sweetie. Xoxoxo

    2. Congrats with a good news Braz, happy for you. Wish u all the best and with many happy memories into your new home. That was good chapter, poor Bette and hope she will fight and get her life back this time of a lifetime with Tina. Ok now what Alices up to!

    3. Everytime I read another chapter in this story I get goosebumps because it is so brilliantly written. I love how all the characters are rallying around Bette because they recognize that she is Tina’s soulmate. The use of Meltic as Bette’s bestfriend and murderer is so powerful. He essentially stole her life as well as her love. Braz you have captured my imagination with your story. Best of luck with the new home. Sorry I missed you in the spotlight.
