Everybody Knows – Part Seven
Tina wants to have a baby. That’s all Bette could think about. She knew that she should be saying something. She knew that Tina was looking at her expecting an answer but her mind was racing, a myriad of thoughts coursing through her brain. Why hadn’t she seen this coming? No, that wasn’t right, she had seen this coming. She just hadn’t expected Tina to just come out with it. There was something about the way that Tina had stated her desire that had caught Bette off guard.
Briefly she thought about some of the life changing decisions that she and Tina had made over the course of their relationship. Bette remembered asking Tina to move in with her, and how it had taken her months to build up the courage. She remembered thinking of how it was so wrong, and yet so right, that one woman could completely unnerve her. She had never had a problem before about asking for what she wanted, never had a problem getting what she wanted and yet she was going to pieces over asking Tina to move in with her. Something that she was sure that Tina wanted.
On the night that she finally did it Bette had planned for hours. She’d even taken the day off work, that’s when Tina knew something was up. The days leading up to the big nights were some of the worst that Bette had ever encountered. She had to choose the right food, the right wine, the right music to play during dinner. She so wanted to prove that this was the right thing for both of them, and to prove that even though she didn’t know if she could live with someone, that someone would even want to live with her she would, for the first time, let her heart overrule her head.. Let her heart decide that her life wouldn’t be complete unless she got to see Tina first thing in the morning, last thing at night and then fall asleep next to her, just to repeat that same process over and over again, every day.
Bette thought back to that night, how she had stumbled over her words. She knew that she’d drank too much wine, but it felt like that was the only way to keep her nerve. After Bette had asked Tina and Tina said yes, that she couldn‘t think of anything that she wanted to do more, she cried. They both cried, tears of joy that they both wanted the same thing, that they both wanted each other, forever. When the tears subsided the passion took over. The slow removing of clothes, the caressing of skin, over faces, arms and necks. Then onto breasts and thighs, giving each other time to give and receive before being inside of each other, as close as two people could be. Even now, all these years later it made Bette breathless to think about it, how they didn’t leave the house for two days afterwards. Their frequent sessions of love making punctuated with planning, how quickly could Tina move, where they would put her belongings, in short, for their future.

I almost think that on TLW, their decision to have a baby was their undoing as a couple. At least, they way they went about it with Tina quitting her job. Great writing.
Bette is most definately putty in Tina’s hands! And I’m sure that just that look that Tina is giving Bette right now would make anyone hestiate or stumble over their words… But they love each other and as Bette has already thought… she wants to make all Tina’s dreams come true! I think you should write faster… I love this story, and their back thoughts.
and she better…give T everything…great stuff
Time to kill the lovey dovey mood for a minute. Sure, Bette wants Tina to have everything and that includes a child. But Bette has to want that child too or it’ll be a really crappy situation. This isn’t Tina asking Bette for a new houseplant that Bette might think is ugly but buys anyway.
I love reading your stories and each chapter seems to be better than the last. Thanks.
and the answer is?….
Wow, that was goood, but I am with Lam. Bette has to want a BABY too. She can not just see this as an opportunity for her to become more stressed out about how she is going to take care of Tina and baby. She can not do the late nights and expect Tina the baby be fine with it. Can Bette step up to the plate? Can she be a loving, supportiive, and there parent for a child? And Tina?
I’d love to be putty in anyones hands. I can’t wait for the next chapter. I can’t believe you just STOPPED there!!!!!!!! Tease
As always such good writing….
This is when Bette should look Tina in the eyes and say. “I knew this is what you wanted so I am have to tell you I am 5 weeks pregnant with our baby…SURPRISE!”
That is an life altering decision for both of them to make. What is Bette’s answer going to be?
Exquisite!
Psh, like there’s really even a question as to what Bette’s answer will be. How could she deny Tina anything she wants that badly?
This is just some beautiful writing CG, you always leave me speechless.Knowing Bette, she’ll think hard about what Tina just asked her, but her final answer,i’m hoping will be a yes.Because if Tina’s happy, then bette’s happy. But adding a baby to her already stressed schdule might be difficult. She definately needs to change some things before the baby arrives,if she says yes. I htink she wants a baby as well, but really scared about how tina’s love might change.
I loved the quiet thoughts process and subtle connections these 2 have. Beautiful!
WOW!!!! That was Great. I hope Bette will tell Tina her fears about having a baby. But I think Bette wants this too. They just need to talk. Thank you PPS
excellent. thanks
Yeah, it’s a big enough question to take a minute to think over. Maybe two. But I still think Bette is putty in Tina’s hands.
Holy cow this is a great story – you write so beautiful and emotional. Bette has already told T she would give her anything, so now she has to find a way to answer her. Poos soon.
Wow this is amzing and let see Bettes answer!!!!!
