    Falling for you…

    Chapter 1

The crimson sky was a comforting companion to the lone occupant of the park bench. She watched studiously as the sky danced with color, wishing she could recreate the exceptional beauty as easily as Mother Nature could on a whim. Her soulful dark eyes were mesmerized by the spectacle, until a blur of white whipped past her peripheral view and she heard the thump and moan as something hit the ground near to the bench where she sat.

Jumping up, comprehension dawned as she realized there was a person lying on the ground a few feet from her.

Take up a sport her friends told her. Get out and meet people they said. The park is great place to meet people. How she hated them right this minute as she lay sprawled across the concrete. She was trying to hold in her tears as her body screamed from the abuse of being thrown down so hard against the unforgiving solid mass of pathway she had been rollerblading on until a few seconds ago.

“Oh my god, are you alright?”

Trying to pull her self together she looked up at the figure hovering over her, and was immediately lost in the dark pools of concern that met her teary hazel eyes.

Bette Porter had always surrounded herself with beautiful things. The path she was called to in her life was directed by all things that encompassed beauty. Whether she created it by her own hand with her photographs and paintings, or helped to exhibit it by displaying and planning a showing of artists by her chosen job as a curator, it was always there. Yet she had never seen anything so beautiful as the crumpled woman who fell literally at her feet only moments ago. One look into those hazel eyes, and Bette was captivated.

    “Ugh. I’m not sure.”

“Can you get up, or do you need help?”

“No, no I think I am fine. I just need a minute.”

    “Okay.”

Tina Kennard definitely needed a moment. Struck dumb as she was by the simple task of looking into the mocha’s eyes, she needed that moment to catch her breath. Not from the physical fall as much as it was from her heart beating so hard after that one look.

    1. They are so cute. Cant you see ten yrs down the road,Bette tell a child, well how I met your Mom,I was in the park one morning and she just fell at my feet. Love fivtion.

    2. I seem to recall a story by you from quite a while ago in which Tina audibly farted in her initial meeting with Bette. If so, your Tinas seem to be lacking muscle control of one kind or another! A trip to the emergency room will give them a very good chance to get to know one another.

    3. Thank God for fanfic, we shall always have “our girls” with us and fantastic stories of love. Really like this and its different premise. Bring it on! PPS
