    Family Sunday

“Not that way. Jump!,” AJ yelled.

Bette laughed her signature laugh. Tina waited to see what Bette was going to do.

She took a running start and yelled, “CANNON BALL!” AJ giggled.

    “Your turn, Ms. Tee-na.”

Bette didn’t try not to watch as Tina took off her tank top and shorts. Tina was wearing a backless, emerald green one-piece. It was adorable. Bette swallowed thickly.

    She was adorable, Bette thought.

Tina placed her clothes next to Bette’s swimsuit cover.

She also took a running start and yelled, “CANNON BALL!” AJ and Bette giggled.

They splashed and swam. Bette threw AJ from one side of the pool to the other. Tina let AJ climb on her back and she jumped up and splashed down under the water several times.

At one point, AJ made Bette and Tina hold hands. They looked at each other. They didn’t let go. AJ weaved around them. AJ ran around the pool. Bette chased him and threw him back in. Then they all put their heads underwater to see who could last the longest. Bette won. At one point, AJ held on to both of their necks. Then he kissed them both on the cheek.

“Bette and Tina have no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into,” Lexie laughed.

They all watched the trio in the pool from the loungers. They were sitting close enough to talk to each other and far enough away from the pool for Bette and Tina not to hear them.

“They are loving it,” Kit said.

“It’s crazy because AJ isn’t like this with anyone, right Adam?”

“Right. He literally made a connection with Bette five seconds after meeting her.”

    “So fucking cute,” Shane said.

“Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They are fucking cute. But let’s talk about The Balloon Festival,” Alice said.

They waited to see if Shane was going to kick Alice. She did not.

“I’m not participating in this conversation,” James said. “I’m just going to sit here and listen.”

    Alice rolled her eyes.

“Well, I don’t know what to say. They were both so gorgeous. I asked Bette if they stopped traffic when they were together.”

    “They have,” Alice confirmed.

Kit and Shane nodded their heads.

“A love so forceful it stops traffic. Oh. How lovely,” KiKi said.

    1. Great chapter!

Bette and AJ and together with Tina, he is so smart and adorable! Very clever from him to let them join him in the pool.

Bette is ready to try to rebuild their relationship and Tina comes with that line, “Things that will most likely break your heart…some more.”. But they have to make a clean start and this is necessary to put everything out and then away to never come back.

I’m sad the end is coming but also looking forward to the next chapter.

      • Thank you so much! I’ll be tackling a GenQ storyline when I’m done with this one. This my first attempt at fanfic and it has been such a privilege writing this story. When it’s all done, I’ll go back and read it from start to finish to see what I could’ve done better.

Bette is ready to rebuild but she’s also nervous. She portrays alpha but we know she’s fragile. So I’m excited to see how Tina navigates her fragility and how Bette hopefully starts to forgive her. But I don’t know. We shall see.

Next chapter is going to be a doozy for sure!

AJ is my absolute favorite. I kinda wish I wrote him as an orphan or something. I love the way Bette and AJ interact.

        • You are a great writer, your writing style is really good, don’t think you have to change anything. I especially love how you write their inner thoughts. The story flows and keeps you wanting more.

I adore AJ, maybe you can add him in your new story. Bette doing something for a orphan house, they meet and Bette and him bond immediately and Bette wants to adopt him, giving him the warm and loving home he deserves. I am adopted and it would be so great to read something like that. But whatever you’re new story will be about, i will certainly read it!
