    Family Women Chpt. 6

I suddenly feel warmth on my shoulder and I when I look, I am met with two loving eyes that gazes upon me. Together we focus on our girls, “Our blessings” I say as Helena tightens her grip on me, “Yes, they are five already” she says “Where have time gone, eh?” she continues as I move her body so I can spoon her. “Well looks like the other gifts are forgotten” I say loudly causing both girls to freeze in their steps. A huge smile explodes on their face as if they didn’t expected more. Both Helena and I decided long ago to raise them to work for everything, though they are two of four inheritors of the mighty Peabody company and Helena’s big business plus my fortune who have a bit of volume, they are well of for the rest of their lives but we do not want them to forget the value of hard work. I am genuinely happy that are girls are so down to earth that they like the winter clothes too. We have to tell them that we have more presents to persuading them into taking them off.

“Okay, Dana this is yours and Peggy this are yours” we hand them their helmet which are in different colours, as Dana has taken a love for green and Peggy have always admired red. The wrappings are gone in seconds and the confused faces are priceless. “Well, Helena? I think I see two bikes in the living room, do you?” I say pretending to glance into the living room. The twins are gone in a matter of seconds and I raise my camera as I follow them into the living room. Two small bikes are placed in the middle with all needed equipment and in matching colours of course. “Thank you so much!” the girls are giving us hugs and I kiss them on the cheeks. “Okay girls, breakfast first and then we head to the park” Helena is moving towards the kitchen and I go to get the tray with cold pancakes.

At breakfast I can’t help myself; I look at the girls that are trying to eat pancakes without getting jam all over the place. They look like they are mirror images of each other but we are starting see to differences in their personalities, Dana is the calmer one, who is starting to read and count very well now. Peggy has not learned that yet and I start to suspect that she will be harder to get through school. “Mama, mommy! I am finished. Can we please go now?” Peggy has taken her plate to the kitchen bench and quickly followed by her twin. Helena and I quickly clean up the room and bedroom as we expect guests later on and we take the bikes down to the park.
