A year had moved on. Bette and Tina were happily married and the kids were doing great. They had just had their 9^th birthday. Malaci was turning out to be a bit of a rebel. It was Tina’s day off and Bette was trying to get Malaci up.

“Malaci will you please get out of your bed” Bette said for the 4^th time.

Miley was already downstairs eating her breakfast with Tina. Bette came down the stairs looking rather stressed.

“You ok babe” Tina asked taking a bite out of her toast.

“Yes our son is being an ass if I do say so myself” Bette said pouring herself a cup of coffee.

Tina laughed. “I’ll get him” she said leaving and going up to Malaci’s room.

10 minutes later Tina returned with Malaci.

“He awakes” Bette says handing Malaci his breakfast.

“This early morning stuff is not good” He says taking a gulp of his juice.

“Ok…bags…lunches…let’s go” Bette said ushering the kids out to the car. She kissed Tina then left.

Tina kept herself busy most of the day tidying up the house. She opened Miley’s door and smiled to herself when she seen her room was spotless. She closed the door and walked over to Malaci’s room opening the door.

His room was a tip. Bed covers everywhere. Toy’s everywhere and Clothes everywhere. She shook her head and began tidying it. 2 hours later she was done.

She made her way down stairs and began putting washing on when Bette came in the door with the kids.

“I don’t care Malaci im not one bit happy and neither will your mum be when she finds out” Bette says closing the door.

“Mama it’s no big deal honestly” Malaci replied.

“What’s he done?” Tina says coming out the kitchen.

“It’s what he hasn’t done that’s the problem” Bette said hanging up her jacket.

“You need to be more specific babe” Tina said.

Malaci just looked at the floor.

“He hasn’t done his homework in over a week” Bette said

“Malaci” Tina said in utter disappointment.

“Erm…can I go upstairs I don’t have homework today.” Miley asked
