Chapter 7
I never made that trip to Cleveland. The Sunday I was supposed to go, Dylan realized she was on call. We talked frequently and had phone sex multiple times until the end of that rotation so I was left still wanting another person’s touch other than myself. I looked forward to the end of the reign of terror with Dr Kroll. Still, the next one did not appear to be any better. I was heading to the CCU, the coronary care unit. At least I would be working some with my uncle. I was sure he would not be so brutal to me or at least I hoped. At the end of the rotation Tina pulled me aside. I thought I was about to get another ass-chewing but she surprised me and said, “Dr. Peabody you did a great job this month. Not many people could have taken the kind of beating you took. You should be proud of yourself. Excellent job. Maybe you should consider a career in critical care. We should get away from here and go out for a drink or coffee sometime to talk about it.”
I was stunned and speechless. She thought I did an excellent job. I felt so low all month and I struggled but finally someone said they thought I did an ecxellent job. I felt my eyes tear-up slightly, “Thanks. You don’t know how much that means to me. I can’t believe you think I’m good, even after I fucked up that Tylenol case.”
“Hey look, don’t beat yourself up. Learn from it. In the end she survived. It all worked out. Trust me, none of your cohorts would have picked up on it either. I saw a case like it last year but that guy died. I just didn’t want to see it happen again.”
She shook my hand and winked at me with those sparkling hazel eyes, “You are an outstanding doctor Helena. You should know that. Look, I’m serious about going out sometime, even if we don’t talk medicine. Just think of it as a time to get away from these sterile walls.”
Her hands were soft and small. It felt nice to have physical contact with an attractive woman. I wondered if she was flirting with me. I asked, “Are you meeting us out tonight? We are getting together at Nick’s.”

What on earth is that scent Helena is wearing???? Talk about pheromones gone wild. It is turning both the straights and gays into a hot and horny pack of wolves. It was definitely not the night for Helena to indulge in margaritas if she wanted to remain true to Dylan. It’s hard for me to identify with Dylan – maybe because she’s so far away from all the action. I want to know where a club like Nick’s is in my town? Back rooms filled with hot and horny medical residents? Bring it on! LOL! I know you are just playing with my RILF fantasy because Bette IS SO flirting with Tina and Helena. C’mon Squirl, you know you want to do it. Just one little hot sex scene between the two of them and I’ll be over the top with joy! Heck, everyone seems to be interested in a little action in this residency program…makes me wish I chosen medical school instead of graduate school. Graduate school was filled with a boring bunch of bookends. I’m feeling like I really missed out! By the way, the chapter length felt ideal to me — I’m not certain where you would have cut it.
East-your grad school was out medical school. Residency would be like a post-doc fellowship on steroids. There was lots of hook ups going on. Even conservative old me was getting plenty of action as an intern. ;-)
I must say I did enjoy this chapter except the comment about Tina being hot. I’m sorry but I just don’t find Tina attractive in any shape or form and it was such a turn off every time I had to read a sexual comment about her. As for Carmen I think she’s pretty but I never really understood the fuss about her. I have never been into her and I don’t fine her voluptuous. I guess beaty is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t understand why Helena insisted on a long distance relationship when she knew she wasn’t going to be able to handle it. I’m thinking when it’s all said and done Helena will weather the storm and end up with Dylan. PS. I don’t like Bette for some reason she seems fake.
RB, Bette is fake in the story… because she’s really a gaymo waiting to lose her closeted status. Right, Squirl? Hey, I did a post-doc fellowship on steriods and I still didn’t get invited to any parties at Nick’s…what the frick??? I really need some of Helena’s perfume.
Now I know I need to move to work in America. As interns we were all buried in too much work to hook up with anyone. I’d like to see Helena and Carmen have a very hot fling at the very least.
Can I say I so love Helena ;)and should have known that her mother had something todo with everything that happens to Helena……but it won’t be when it comes to her women,,,well she did get rid of Dylan,,,LOL can’t wait what happens next!
Oh No Hels what have you just done…gave into temptation. So what will happen between her and Carmen from here on out. I mean will she tell Dylan what happened would it just be a one off or will their relationship come to an abrupt end? All answers i hope in time will become clear. As for my Fic with Euni I’m not sure because Ive wrote two chapters and am waiting for her to write the next chappie….But she has been busy on her current Fic but I’m hoping we get it back on track. Im currently just working on my own stories to update so next week there will be an update on both of them.
well this has gotten more interesting…this is the second story where I have seen a Carmen/Helena hookup and it sounds hot maybe because I am not to fond of Dylan..Tina is dating Henry who thinks she just goes through “phases” of female sexual encounter…HAHAHAHAHA… Henry is a dweeb..I still think B&T are fucking in the quiet corridors of the hospital. LOL
I gotta say Squirl I’m noticing a patteren in you Helenas,(they)she seams to enjoy a little spice in her girls. Now I’m wondering if in rotations do the same people go on together or does everyone get mixed up? Will there be new players in the next rotation? I’ve always found the stark compare/contrast in attitudes between the cultures of Spanish vs. English speaking peoples from the Caribbean really interesting. I think it proves two things. First, homosexuality is innate in humans, even in the face of severe homophobia. Secondly, homophobia is a cultural phenomena and therefore can be combated with information and justice. Now I’ll read the chapter.
Crap, if any more pussy was flying at Helena she’d have to get armor! Incoming! She must have been good in her first month as the Lesbian Goddess most definitely rewarded her. They say God never gives a person more than they can handle. I hope Dylan and Helena have both home and cell phones. One to talk dirty on, the other to leave on vibrate. As for Carmen? I won’t tell. I thought you’d like to know how much Dylan and I are enjoying the very pretty LAKE EFFECT snow that’s coming down right now. Too bad all the ice melted. Snow just for us and no ice fishing.
You are on a roll and I happy to say that I like it. Helena and Carmen quite interesting, but I don’t see that lasting. Maybe it’s time to move on for Helena. She can love Dylan to death but sometimes love isn’t enough. Helena is hand on type of girl in my book. And let’s face it Dylan isn’t there to keep those hands on her. Not that I’m saying that what Helena and Carmen did was cool, but it was bound to happen with someone.
