Bette looked at her vibrating Blackberry and smiled. 

“T”

“Babe”

“Are we set for tonight?”

“I’m at the bank right now.  Are you sure you want to do this before I make an honest woman of you?”

The brunette chuckled low and sultry.  “Do I want to wait another month for you to impregnate me?”

“We could practice for next month just to make sure I get it right” Tina teased.

“You know I’m ready for you now.”

Bette heard the sharp intake of breath that statement caused.  “How ready?” 

“You’ll have to touch me and see.”

“I have to drive” Tina admonished Bette as her legs threatened to buckle.

“Can’t have you too distracted” Bette agreed.

“Ms. Kennard, your package is ready” the receptionist called out to her.  “I need you to sign the release papers.”

“I will see you very soon” Tina promised ending the call so she could close the distance between them the way she loved best.

When Tina entered the house she was a little disappointed that she did not find Bette’s car in the drive.  She was surprised at the quiet.  Where was Angelica and Sandy her new sitter?  She placed her precious package on the counter in the kitchen then headed off to their bedroom to slip into something a little more comfortable as she dialed Sandy’s cell which went straight to voicemail.  She left a brief message that she was home and for Sandy to call. 

She stopped short when she saw the champagne chilling in a bucket of ice flanked by flutes on the night stand on her side of the bed.  A bowl of chocolate covered strawberries told her Bette had pulled out all the stops.  She loved chocolate covered strawberries almost as much as she loved making love with the brunette.

 A single deep red rose lay in the center of the bed with a note.  It read ‘Sandy has my car for the night.  She took Angie to Kit’s where she will spend the night. I am waiting for you at the water’s edge.  Get comfortable and join me.’  Tina debated taking a quick shower to wash off the day but her need to see the brunette urged her to change quickly.  She could shower later.  The deep brown satin Capri’s and tank on the arm chair caught her eye as she drew off her work clothes.  She knew before she checked the tag that it was her size.
