“I’m sorry T; I really don’t understand the difference.” Bette conceded. “Have you found a new donor that you prefer?”  She liked the direction of the conversation so far. The tension left her and she could take full breaths again. They were so close these days that there was a part of her that was waiting for the other shoe to drop and for the dream to end.

“Yes, me. I am the new donor I have in mind.”

“You want to use your egg?” Bette concluded.  She was a bit disappointed. She had carried Rosanna’s egg and hoped for once to use her own.  Tina had told her directly that she had trouble with the fact that Bette had a child for another woman even though she was married to that other woman and they were not together at the time.  She could not say that Tina treated Rowan any differently than she did Angelica. Still she felt it every now and then when Rowan’s bright blue eyes regarded her as intently as Rosanna and she saw his other birth mother. 

Tina took Bette’s hand and led her to her computer. “Sit down.”  She gently pushed Bette down. “Now Google ‘female sperm’.”

“Female sperm?”

“Just do it Babe.”

Bette typed the phrase into the search bar and hit enter. Tina stood behind her reading the screen over her shoulder.

She read quickly and by the time she finished her head was spinning.  The possibility excited her intensely.

“I learned today that there is a trial going on in the US and they want female couples to test if an embryo can develop from an egg fertilized by female sperm.  The lead investigator in the US happens to be in LA, Dr. Wilson to be precise. I was wondering if you would let me ‘be the sperm donor of your child’?”

Bette flushed.  The thought of being pregnant with hers and Tina’s child excited her so much she almost came on the spot.

“Please.” She looked up and into the hazel eyes of her wife. Her eyes clouded with desire on so many dimensions Tina could not categorize them.

“Let’s get out of here. I need you.” Tina choked out.

“I need you so much” Bette groaned as she arched against the tender lips that claimed her sex.  Her need dripping from her she increased her tempo, her hips moving of their own accord. She restlessly spread herself wider inviting Tina to take all of her.  “Please…take me. It’s always been you. Always, been you.”

Tina’s heart soared, Bette’s words registering deep within her.  She wondered and sometimes worried that Bette’s widow still held some part of her. “Always?”  She lifted her head to find the answer. She was captured like a deer in headlights by the ebony gaze.

“Come here.”  Bette demanded, tugging her hand and pulling her up. When they were full length together Bette thrust her hands into her hair and drew her down inch by inch for a searing kiss.  Just when she was about to come from the pleasure Bette rolled them over so that she was on top. Slipping her thigh between Tina’s milky ones and her fingers inside she spoke again.  She thrust inside her claiming her with each stroke again and again. “Always.”

Unwilling and unable to hold back, Tina came.
