Chapter 1

Bette was mingling around. She was with her officemates and they were at the company hosted summer outing. Most people were drinking but she really wasn’t much of a drinker. Some were playing cards and some were doing karaoke. She was oblivious to the fact that there were several of her officemates that were not present.

Tina came in late. Upon arriving, she headed for the drinks and soon enough she was tipsy already. Tina was making rounds and making nice with everybody.

Bette was watching the party from afar when she felt a stranger’s arms around her. She was startled and looked at who the person hugging her could be. It was Tina.

Bette: Tina, are you ok?

Tina: Hi Bette! I’m just saying “hi”.

Tina was slurring her words. She was drunk. Bette was confused as she has never been really close to Tina before and she was now hugging her and by the looks of it has no intention of letting go. Bette was starting to be confused by the feeling that she has now that Tina has her in her arms.

Bette: Well, hi Tina! I didn’t notice you when you got here.

Tina: I came in late. I had a family dinner that I had to attend to prior to going here.

Bette: Oh. Uhm, Tina… Do you have any plans of letting me go?

Tina: Oh, I’m sorry Bette.

Tina lets go of Bette.

Tina: I was just saying hi.

With that, Tina left Bette standing and confused by the feelings that the blonde stirred in her.

Bette: What was that all about? And what is this feeling?

It was well into the night and Bette was with the karaoke crowd when she saw the drunken Tina again. Once again, Tina went for her and hugged her.

This time there’s no mistaking on Bette’s feelings. She just developed a massive crush on Tina Kennard.
