    Alice woke from a deep slumber on the couch. Groggily she rolled herself off the couch. Looking up at the clock she thought to herself oh *****! I must have fallen asleep. Suddenly Alice was startled by the phone ringing. She fumbled her way around the living into the kitchen for the phone.

    Hello? Alice asked.

    Hey, Hey Alice!

    Oh hey Tina! Are you sleeping?

    No well I just woke up.

    I was wondering what was going on. I saw Natalie at The Planet this morning and she was asking if you had stopped by yet. Shes a great girl Alice.

    Yeah? You think so?

    I do. And I know you do too. I can tell just by the way you act around her. So what did you two do last night anyway?

    We just watched movies and talkedA lot.

    I hope you had a good time. Well, I need to go. I just wanted to check and see if you were alright since I didnt see you this morning.

    Ok T. I will talk to you later this afternoon.

    As Alice started to hang the phone up, she noticed the note that Natalie had left. The magical wave of excitement that Alice had been feeling lately suddenly ran through her. Alice did not want to come off to strong but there was no way she could not call her. She nervously started to dial Natalies number. Hearing it ring brought a smile across her face.

    Hello? Master Sergeant Rileys office?

    Um.. Hello could I speak with Natalie Riley?

    Yes, one minute. Could I ask who is calling?

    Thanks for calling. I hate to cut the conversation short. I have a class out on the track in the middle of physical training. But I can we get together tonight? Maybe dinner? My parents will be here in the morning and I really would like to see you again before then!
