    Half Bliss- Chapter 13

Parallelism. Things happen. Every single day that we live, we are subjected to the same possibilities. We may get cancer, win a lottery, or lose a loved one but one thing is always constant- the possibility of it happening to us. With this knowledge that anything is possible, we could also believe that we aren’t alone. We can believe that there are others, just like us that are going through the same dilemmas and problems. This is the connection that we share.

Once we establish this similarity between one another, bonding becomes a lot easier and somehow, it pulls us through. We become a support system to one another, each other’s strength. The hardest part, however, is to be open. The most difficult thing to do is to let help come to us by opening up to others about our feelings and troubles. It’s always easier in films but in reality, no one likes to talk about their feelings just so that others could judge.

“No, I’m having the kids this week… I’m not being difficult! We set this schedule a month ago. What?”

“No! Listen, I have an appointment right now… Yeah, well I’m not exactly the one trying to change the schedule for the third time this month alright. Go figure out what you want and then we can decide!”

“Fuck!” The brunette held her head in her hands and started massaging her temples. She is consistently getting headaches after a conversation with her now estranged former partner. Things didn’t end too well between them and now each of them was struggling to keep contact with one another. After all, they do have children together and she wasn’t about to abandon them just because her love life is such an epic failure.

After taking several moments to alleviate the constant pounding in her head, the brunette finally asked her secretary to escort her appointment into her office. It was a separate floor from the waiting area and everything else. She only had a washroom with a shower area on this floor along with her spacious office and walk in closet hidden behind a layer of mirror. The mirrors help to project a very open and trusting look, making the people that go there comfortable at its illumination and sincerity. At least that was the selling point of her interior designer to her.

    1. Bette could always try discussing the dreams/visions/memories with Tina. It might help, but it might make Bette run once some of the blanks are filled in. Thanks for the update and post when you can.
