Chapter 4

doctors and nurses started rushing into the room i followed them and after a
couple of minutes they managed to revive Tina this is when I realised I couldn’t
live without her any longer and after that moment I never left her bedside. I rang
the neighbours and explain what was going on they said they could look after
him as long as I needed I thanked them and then drifted off to sleep.

The next day Shane and Angie entered the hospital room to see a sleeping Bette
and Tina obviously Angie had no idea who this woman was sleeping next to her
mother but Shane did. Shane woke Bette and introduced her to Angie, tines
daughter.

Shane: “Bette what are you doing here?”

Bette: “the doctor rang me and told me that I was one of Tina’s emergency
contacts and that she had been in a crash I came over right away.”

Shane: “we haven’t seen you for 5 years Bette”

Bette: “Tina has she saw me Halloween night I told her I would be back for
here I am in back and I’m back for good, no cheating, no fighting, just a
family me, Tina, my son and this lovely young lady here”

Shane: “ok well angie this is Bette mommy’s other favourite girl”

Angie: “hi”

Bette: “is nice to meet you Angie your very pretty”

Angie: “thank you” she smiles “I heard mommy talking to you the other day
when I was sitting on the sofa she thinks you’re very pretty and when you went
home she said she loved you”

Bette: “what? Really? Wow”

Shane: “angie I think we should get you some breakfast and get ready for
nursery”

Angie: “ok bye Bette”

Bette: “goodbye Angie”

Bette decided to envision what to do once Tina woke, she didn’t have to wait
long as the next day at 4am Tina awoke to the view of Bette holding her hand
and talking, Bette hadn’t noticed that she was awake and continued with her
aloud thoughts promising not to hurt her, that she loved her and her daughter
was beautiful. Tina coughed to make her awakened state known; Bette lifted her
head and smiled a smile of adoration.

Bette: “I never thought I would see you awake again” she sighed a sigh of
relief “hi are you ok?”

Tina: “hi I’m ok”

Bette: “I’m so glad you are ok” she slowly cries “I thought you were a
gonner”

Tina: “I’m ok I’m here I will get better ok I promise you” she moves her
weakened hand and holds Bettes stroking her thumb over the soft mocha skin. “You
know what you said it sounds perfect, me you, your son and Angie, just love, happiness
and adoration.

Bette: “our son, I had him in memory of you the blonde hair, blue eyes a
true beautiful Kennard”

Tina: “seems we did the same Angie is a mini porter, I got pregnant just
after you left”

Bette: “I’m sorry I wasn’t there”

Tina: “don’t be we have the rest of our lives”

Bette: “yeah we do, we do”

Tina: “live everyday like it’s your last Bette”

Bette: “I love you Tina Kennard”

Tina: “I love you too Bette Porter”

Bette leans over and kisses Tina tenderly

Bette: “babe I need to go get some things and have a shower and take our son to
school” she kisses Tina again “I will be back by 9am get some sleep”

Tina: “ok baby see you later” kisses Bette
sweetly

As Bette goes to stand she doesn’t let go
of her

Tina: “one more please”

Bette laughs this woman is perfect she
leans down and kisses her passionately

Bette “bye babe”

Tina: “bye love you”

Bette goes home takes a nap, showers,
packs some clothes for her and her son and drops him off at school, she decided
to pick up some breakfast for her and Tina from the planet and then heads back
to the hospital.
