"Bye baby. Have a great day!" as she ushered Bette out the front door and closed it.

"It’s certainly starting out that way," Bette states out loud to herself as she walks to the parking lot.

Bette arrives at work and enters her office smiling and humming. 

"I’m guessing you and Tina kissed and made up?" Shane asks as she enters Bette’s office.

Bette just smiles from ear to ear.

"Oh I see.  More than kissed and definitely made up."

"Yes we did."

"So?"

"So what Shane?"

"Come on Bette, it’s me."

"And your point is?"

"Was it everything you thought it would be?"

"Shane, you know I don’t kiss and tell."

"And you know I’m not Alice."

Bette considers this for a moment.  "It was phenomenal.  Words cannot describe."

Shane laughs.  "I’m happy for you."

Bette turns serious.  "Thanks for all your support.  I couldn’t have made it through these past few days without you."

"No problem.  That’s what we do."

Bette hugs her.  "I love ya Shaney."

"Me too."

Across town …

"Soooo?"

"So what Dane?"

"Tina Kennard, don’t you dare think about holding out on me.  I want details."

"I just don’t feel right talking about it."

"It never bothered you before."

"Yeah. But it’s different this time.  I was never in love before."

Dana sighs, exasperated.  "So no details?"

Tina giggles at her frustration.  "I will tell you that it was wonderful, almost magical."  Tina stops talking, lost in her dream world.

Dana snaps her fingers in front of Tina’s face to get her attention.  "Hellooooo."

"Yeah."  Tina comes back to reality.  "So how are things with you and Shane?"

"Good.  We’re taking our time, getting to know each other."

"So no sex, huh?  That’s why you’re so desperate to hear about my sex life?"

"You know I’ve always lived vicariously through your sex life."

"Some day that will change."

"I know, I know."

The bell rings and they head to class.

On a break, Tina checks her phone.  There’s a message from Bette.

Just wanted to say I’m thinking of you.  I love you babe. – Swimmer1

Tina types a reply.

Dreaming of you.  I love you too.  This day can’t end soon enough. – Tina

Bette is in the helicopter on the way to a rescue when she gets Tina’s text.  She smiles to herself.

"One minute to target," the pilot announces.

Bette gets ready.  "Here Shane, take care of my phone."

On the way back from the rescue she sends Tina a picture from her phone.

Tina’s phone signals a picture message.  She opens it to see a picture of Bette.  She is soaking wet, still in the helicopter, holding a sign that reads ‘I love you’ and blowing a kiss to the camera.

Tina laughs, then her heart warms.  She responds.

I love you too, you goofball.  You’re so sweet.  Hurry home.  I miss you. – Tina

Bette receives Tina’s message while still in the copter.  She smiles to herself as she reads Tina’s words.  “Home,” she says to herself.

“You need something Bette?” Shane interrupts her thoughts.

“Nope.”  She looks at Shane.  “I already have everything I need.”  She reads the text again before putting her phone away.
