Chapter two…
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Bette’s cell phone vibrates like crazy in her pocket.
“God, stop calling me.”
Bette takes her cell from her pocket. She catches a glance of the caller id and was relieved once she saw Kit’s name. She took the call immediately answering using her spare hand.
“Hello?”
Bette asked innocently.
“Bette, where are you?”
“I’m south from where you are. I’m entering Oregon as we speak.”
The sound of Bette’s where about bought a sigh to escape Kit’s lips. She wasn’t thrilled about Bette’s action to take charge in an immature way.
“You should turn back.”
“And lose Angelica, I can’t and I won’t. She is my daughter too.”
“I agree Bette, but are you aware that the authorities are looking for you?”
Bette’s heart fell south falling into her stomach. Heartburn surfaced along with her salt like tears.
“That’s great! That’s fucking great.”
The sign saying “WELCOME TO OREGON” passed as Bette proceeded down the highway.
“It’s not too late to turn back baby sis. I can meet you anywhere you like.”
“I’m not turning back Kit. I’m sorry, but I’ve already opened up a can of worms and I’m not about to lose my baby. I’ve lost Tina to a loose and wild penis, but I will not and I mean will not lose Angie over her selfishness and stupidity.”
Kit shakes her head and gazes over at Tina and the others. Henry wasn’t present. He was busy talking with the authorities down stairs. Everyone was afraid for Bette and what she might do. But, Kit knew she’d take good care of Angie making sure she was fed and pampered in the correct way.
“What’s going on?”
Alice asked as she entered Tina’s hotel room.
“Bette took Angelica and left. Kit’s on the phone with her now.”
Tina answered shaking her head.
“Oh come on! Bette wouldn’t do anything that stupid.”
“Not now Alice. Now is not the time for jokes.”
Kit shakes her head covering the receiver so Bette wouldn’t hear her.
“Where is she?”
Tina asked.
“I don’t know.”

I opened your story with trepidation cuz I hate for bad things to happen to B & T but so far I’m loving it especially T giving Henry the heeveho now get our girlz back 2gether and PPS, & oh let Ange & Mama B have a great holiday in the woods and make Kit strong & silent and of course don’t let David blow the gaff
It bothers me that Tina just allowed Henry to talk to the police without being there. Would she take such a back seat like that, and then the next minute drop him like a hot potato? Of course season three Tina was so incredibly screwed up, none of her behavior should suprise me! Thanks!

AS a Mother I would almost do what Bette is doing. She is not hurting Angie,buy,really hurting Tina. Tina shouldnt have let Her boytoy talk to the Police alone. It is none of his business.they are not married. Poor Kit she is inbetween her common sense and family thanks
Man Bette is REALLY taking a chance. She is out there with an infant on the run with no supplies and surely no money because if the issue is pressed they will surely freeze her assets. Hopefully now that Henry is out of the picture Tina will call the cops off and her and Bette can actually talk like 2 adults. Bette is too pretty to be in jail. They would have a field day with her…I know…I watch television…lol
Wow, Bette did it and so did Tina. At least you have Tina kicking hairy butt out the door. I like that you have Bette standing her ground with Angelica. I believe what she is doing is wrong but I applaud her for standing her ground. Tina, I think will understand why Bette did this and through Kit she find her way to Bette in Idaho.
This Fic is so interesting Vakkav.The writing is just so believable and real. I truly believe that bette is being extremely selfish and cruel in this situation. I totally understand where she’s coming from, but the act alone is just wrong imo. She’s not prepared to deal with Angie, should the baby get sick or hungry. She’s taking Angie on this ride, in the middle of the night,without even considering what the other mother is going through. i feel bad for tina,becus this is a mother’s worst nightmare. Henry is gone,good. I just wish Bette could be smart and bring the baby back. PPS. I’m intruiged.
Thsi is so good. Good that henrydick is gone and never see him again. Hope Bette will call Tina and talk and they will work thing out, this is sad. Ok post soon please, thanks! Oh Idaho is close to where I live and maybe I will see Bette and Angel somewhere around there and will tell her to bring Angel back to Tina for good, lol!
If the Bette and Tina relationship couldn’t be an example for the world of a stable, happy homosexual marriage then perhaps it could be a vehicle for examining the issues of second parenting, IF the show’s producers follow your lead, Vakkav. …Although heartbreaking, there is so much potential drama in this situation. …THIS is the relevant drama, THIS is where the issues and action are now between Bette and Tina. To have Bette just turn tail and come back after leaving the hotel with Angie (as TPTB might do) would mean yet another TLW road not taken, another true adventure of women in love not explored. Thank you for giving us this alternate vision. Gay parent rights is a hot issue. Amber Alerts is very now. It’s messy, but it’s real and for Bette right now, the choice of taking Angelica seems her only alternative. They raised the stakes at the end of the season. Will they have the courage to play their cards, or will they fold? You’re playing your cards very well here. This story takes us to a new, entertaining place. Thank you!

Wow, vakkav, this is truly a different perspective on things~ Kit was between a rock and a hard place, now Henry’s out (always manages to say something stupid!), and Tina…well, it will give her pause as she has plenty of time to reflect on how her cruelty towards Bette drove her to not the best decision, but a need to get away with Angelica. I truly hope you can bring this around without Bette going to jail! PPS
this fic is so good. But i think that no matter how much Bette was hurt she must not take Angie away from Tina, she is the birthmother and angie need both of them, maybe not together but they need both of them. I hope Bette get some sense and talk with Tina.
Sometimes I wish Bette was just cold hearted and went through with the full custody battle, teach Tina a lesson shes always bowing down to Tina arrghh
