    Open your back door…

                Bette shook her head. She could not have heard Tina right.  Did she just say leave Rosanna and come back to her?  She looked at the blonde who was waiting for her response. 

     

                “Tina…” Bette was floored. She couldn’t formulate a response.

     

                Fortunately for her Tina having delivered the blow knew that it needed explanation.  “I understand that you have feelings for her.  In fact I think that you may have fallen in love with her.”  She searched the brunette’s eyes which only revealed shock at the moment. “That’s why it has to end and end now.  We have come too far to lose each other and if you stay with Rosanna that’s what will happen. She’s good for you Bette, but I am better.  You can’t see that while you are with her.  Six months that’s all I’m asking six months.  See me exclusively for six months.  Make love with me.  Share days and nights with me and with our daughter.  Give our family a chance.  I know that we can make it.”

     

                “I need a break.” Bette stammered exiting the room. 

     

                Family night for the past ten months was unpredictable. Besides being with Angelica they would talk about everything under the sun and work on parenting issues.  They had an agreement that when things got too much either of them could take a break and the conversation would resume when they were ready.  The only stipulation was that whatever the topic on the table had to be resolved before the sun came up. 

     

                This was an issue that could not be resolved before the sun came up. 

     

                Tina felt for Bette she had backed her into a corner but it had to be done. Tina was quite aware that she was fighting for her life and her family.  Bette was her life she would do whatever she had to do to get them where they needed to be.  Bette needed to know how much she meant to her, always had and always would.  An old Crosby, Stills & Nash song came to her mind.

We need to either get Bette thinking in her box (as it would be) or Rosanna digging in her claws a bit more. Mmmmm….I’m up for some medieval jousting between Rosanna and Tina, the tasty prize?     23. ROTF, Woman you have me twisted! I’m cheering Tina on to get her woman back, and feeling for Ro because I truly like her. I like this no nonsense Tina, poor Bette look out. Now what would happen if Ro fights back to keep Bette? At least she knows that Tina is Bette soulmate and Theresa is hers. PPS

    25. This is exactly what Tina needs to do on the show. Will IC give her a chance in Season 5? As for your story, I eagerly await Ro’s response to Alpha Tina’s throwing down the gauntlet. Tina is one tough act to follow. And what about shell-shocked Bette? Will she get a say in the matter?
