"Uh huh, now you got it."
"Well, um, shit! Uh, I guess, I just won’t tell her. I mean, not that there is anything to tell. But, it might be best if Tina didn’t know. To keep things simple right?"
"Well, that is your call, but if she finds out….damn."
"Kit. Tina and I are not a couple any more. What either of us do, unless it directly concerns our daughter, really isn’t the others business. If I want a friend to stay at my place, then I will do so that without feeling like I have to "check in" with anyone. Even Tina."
"Okay girl, that’s cool. I’m just giving my nickels worth of opinion here. So what can I get you to eat Baby Sis?"
"Okay, Davis, no problem. If I can’t get a car in time to pick him up, I will go to LAX myself, and get him. Yes, uh huh, okay, yep, bye Davis."
God what a pompous asshole. Tina was not looking forward to driving all the way to LAX to pick up her bosses son.
"I never should have sent the company car in for detailing." Pressing the intercom button,
"Alicia, can you please clear my afternoon, I have to preform driving duties today, and will need to leave the office around 12:30pm. I won’t be back after that, so if you need anything, you will have to call my cell."
"Okay Tina, no problem. See you tomorrow."
Bette arrived at LAX exactly 5 minutes before Petra’s plane was due to land. She ran to the gate she was coming in, and waited excitedly for her friend. Unbeknownst to either of them, Tina was waiting across the way for her bosses son to arrive on the same flight as Petra was arriving on. Bette had not seen Tina in her hurry to get to the gate on time, and Tina in her impatience was not listening to her bodies reaction to the close proximity of Bette.
Once the doors opened, a stream of travel weary people started piling through the doors. Bette spotted Petra and quickly walked up to her. She grabbed her friend in a tight embrace and gave her a very public kiss on the lips. This kiss was noticed by many of the folks getting off the plane, but was ingrained in the memory of the startled blonde who was walking up behind them to greet the young man she was hastened to pick up.
Oblivious to the stares, and to the devastated tear filled look given to them by Tina, Bette and Petra happily chatted as they walked away from the gate and made their way towards the luggage carousel.
Tina, hurt and bewildered, tried to hide her feelings as she approached the young man she was there to pick up. Quickly introducing herself, she advised her charge she would bring the car to the door closest the luggage claim, and made her way away from the crushing blow to her heart that was called Bette.

To be so smart,Bette can be so stupid at times. Bette is right she and Tina are not together, But. Lets see how Tina handles this thanks
Wow. I REALLY hope Tina gets some attention from another woman in Bette’s presence. Yeah, they aren’t together. She totally doesn’t need to mention it to Tina to have someone stay over. However, I have a feeling if it was the other way around Bette would be mad jealous. Petra annoys me. Definitely don’t trust her. PPS.

Oh Mercy, what a stinking mess this is gonna be before it is resolved. I’m with Audi, lshw2005, and my girl Rau. Don’t trust Petra, Tina has done it to Bette before but, they were all affairs and I so hope they can talk about it before making accusations and assumptions. It’s gonna be ugly for a little while no matter what. I just wish it didn’t have to be. PPS

A love in is one thing, but total disregard which we see that Bette is best at is another. No she and Tina are not officially a couple, but she does know that Tina is in love with her, and just a little courtesy call that a “friend” is coming to visit would have been nice. So wrong Bette, so wrong.
Bette has seen this many times from Tina: Helena and Henry, so no need to show Bette anything, especially if she wants to reconcile. If anything Tina should finally grow up, tell Bette what she saw and ask her about it. As Helena told her way back, stop the pity party.
and YES I did expect a love-in!!!!!! so when?????? u know u can’t resist it just like Bette can’t nor Tina for that matter.
Well I’m on T’s side; she didn’t commit the 1st infidelity in this sad sordid tale & I’ve been in her shoes. I’ve always wondered why people expect a higher standard of behaviour from Tina than Bette.Kit was right, simple courtesy from B to inform T, she knows T’s in-love with her & vice-versa but if she wants to dig a deep hole for herself so be it.As usual I love your story-telling.Lucky you in Vegas to see Celine.PPS;are u still writing your other story?
