    The next day in their lives.

     

    Bette stared at Alice. She didn’t utter a word. Her eyes never moved, yet you could see a pulsing in her temple that kept time with her heartbeat.

     

    Slowly backing away, Alice grabbed her bag that was slung over her chair, and never breaking eye contact, walked backwards in the direction of the door.

     

    "Um, okay, well, no dinner, then, okay, um, I will just, uh, talk to you later. It was, um, fun, today was fun, so, um, yeah, okay bye!"

     

    Alice turned and ran for the door. Tina and Bette saw her sprint down the sidewalk, like she was running for the gold metal.

     

    At that, Bette burst out laughing. Looking over at Tina, she saw a beautiful smile across Tina’s face.

     

    "What an excellent way to start the day." Bette chuckled at the events of the morning.

     

    "Yes, seeing you first thing in the morning, is definitely the best start to a day for me." Tina leaned over a gave Bette a soft kiss on the lips.

     

    Bette looked at Tina with all the love she felt. " So what do you say we get out of here, and I help you get dinner ready. We can do it at the Condo if you like, then you wouldn’t have to worry about cleaning up."

     

    Tina looked at Bette, and offered," Babe, where would you feel most comfortable?"

     

    "At home. I mean at the house, I mean your home." stammering Bette felt her face redden.

     

    Grabbing Bette’s hand, "Let’s go home Bette. Together. The three of us."

     

    "Yeah, <sighing> that sounds great Tee."

     

     

    Later that afternoon, as Bette and Angelica laid out by the pool and napped, Tina snuck off to the store. She grabbed all the ingredients she would need for a grilled lemon salmon salad, and picked up some colorful flowers for her love.

     

    When she got home, both of her girls were still zonked out on the patio by the pool. She gently removed Angie from Bette’s strong arms, and carried her into her bed. She tucked her in with a kiss to her forehead, and made her way back out to Bette.

     

    Much in the same way she kissed Angie to sleep, she kissed Bette awake with gentle kisses on her lips, and smooth caresses up and down her arms.

     

    "Hi sleepy head."

     

    "Hi Tee. Sorry, I didn’t mean to fall asleep." Sitting up quickly, Bette looked around with a wild look.

     

    "It’s okay babe, she is inside in her bed. I took her a few minutes ago."

     

    "Okay, thanks. So, um, what can I do to help with dinner?"

     

    "You my gorgeous one, can just sit here and relax. I already went to the store, so everything is all set. There is one thing though."

     

    "Yeah, what’s that Tee?"

     

    "Can you answer me a question that came up for me today, at the planet?"

     

    "Sure Tee, anything?"

     

    Tina leaned into Bette, close to her ear. "Do you need to get laid Bette?"

    5. So happy to see this post. What will Bette say to that question? Loved when Tina went to the door to get Bette and told Her her….”its okay baby, I’ve got you.” I can hear Tina saying that in her soft, sweet voice that she uses only for Bette. PPS
