After hanging up the phone with Bette, Tina lingered in bed, dozing for about forty-five minutes before heading back into the shower, not wanting to, but needing to wash away the remaining evidence of the power of Bette’s voice.
Bette on the other hand was doing everything she could to hurry through her meeting with Thomas Steele, so she could race home to be with Tina. An idea had formed soon after hanging up with Tina, and she had made a quick call while she and Thomas were still looking at his sculptures. Now, here they were, much earlier than either had thought they would be, with Thomas filling out the contracts to show his work in Kennter Galleries, and Bette pacing just behind him willing his fingers to write faster.
Karen had arrived just as Tina had finished setting up one of the two massage tables Bette had bought for them so they could give each other massages anytime they wanted. And, after a luxurious half an hour on her back, Tina was now laying on her stomach enjoying skilled hands as they massaged the tense muscles of her back and shoulders. She was so relaxed she started to doze again.
Once finished with her back, Tina, in her semiconscious state could feel Karen move down to her thighs, reveling in the strong hands as they conquered the constricted muscles. She didn’t notice the exact moment it happened, but as she lay there with limber, oily hands gliding up and down her thighs, Tina felt the tingle of arousal forming in her stomach. As fingers softly glazed over the inside of her upper thigh Tina felt the muscles in her vagina clench with need.
At the same time the arousal was getting stronger, Tina felt guilty, and felt like her body was betraying her. Never before had she reacted this way toward Karen, and she didn’t understand why her body was reacting the way it was now.
But it was.
Her desire was building, throbbing in its intensity, causing a deep ache to take over all her thoughts. Oh, God! How was it possible for her to ache so much without Bette being the one to cause it?! Just as Tina was going to sit up to stop the massage, knowing it was wrong to feel this way when it wasn’t Bette who was touching her, she felt long strands of soft hair lightly brush over her shoulder.

Hey Sea! Well it’s true, in the land of fanfic we can certainly change the outcome to be that which we hoped for from the show. You certainly didn’t disappoint! You’ve shown that despite what we were shown on the show we can have happy endings and if given the time and conviction, proper storytelling! Many thanks as always!

Hey Sea, I read your Author Notes with a smile. As one who has posted probably more Situations than anything serious I whole heartedly agree with us needing humour, not only to get through whatever IC throws at us, whether it be Tina’s I.Tape or some of Bette’s blouses, but we need it in life too. This site has been an amazing outlet for us all to read or write about whoever we like/relate to in The L Word for 6 Seasons, we’ve made friends, met friends and spent time with them, even when they live across the big pond. Right from the beginning when we all met up in New York’s Ruby Fruit Bar its been a pleasure to be part of this community. There has been ups and downs along the way, but at the end of the day we are all here because no matter how much we agree/disagree with Ilene Chaiken and what she has or hasn’t done, she brought us The L Word and thats why we are here. And because of all of that, I got to have my picture taken with Jennifer Beals and she put her arm around me, for me that was the icing on the cake ;o) But it started here.

That was absolutely amazing. Please feel free to revisit anytime you wish. As to your author’s notes I agree. There is space enough for all of us to process, express ourselves and react in the way that works for us. While you are not your characters or your stories I think more of us is revealed than we know when we write and that’s ok too.
All of of the interview with Tina should have been seen on the show.Not the way we got it, for six yrs we didnt see the hurt or her past. They are so in tune with each other,that sex with each other is like the ocean on a still day with small wave coming in and them a big wave rushing into you and leaves you breathless. thanks

As a reader, I’m grateful to all the writers who take the time to share their writing talent with me. It is a such a treasured gift to receive these stories from so many amazing writers and you Sea, are one of the very best authors on this site. Any accolades that are bestowed upon you are in hopes of providing you with the same high that you give us. When you repair a storyline that IC has ripped apart or help fill in the blanks to all the WTF moments that were in this series, it makes me feel like I wasn’t the only one who wondered what the hell IC was thinking. I do agree that it may be necessary as a writer to separate the attention you get for your writing, from who you are as a human being. However, your addiction to write pales in comparison to my additiction to read these stories. Thank you for keeping the LWord torch burning and please post soon.

Hey Seahurst. After those author’s notes, I’ll have to read the story later, but I definitely know what you mean. I saw the Interrogation Tape and could not take it as anything but a joke in somewhat bad taste, but why would IC care about that? I mean if you saw Season 2 and what a shrike Tina was through out, you knew damn well that what she said in the tape about infidelity wasn’t anything close to the truth about how she felt. So when, for whatever reason, she moved on to her past, particularly in regards to her sister, I couldn’t see ANY reason to believe that, either. And then I was made aware that someone was calling anyone who didn’t swallow the tape whole ignorant. One thing I’m not is ignorant and neither are you. Not the first time I’ve heard the foolish call others ignorant because they were missing something. On the one hand it’s funny, but on the other it’s irritating and insulting.
I came home for a quick shower before work…I should NOT have read this before work…I’m going to have shower AGAIN before I go to work!!!! Great to see you back.

I have to say that I was struck by your comments about how people deal with trauma in their lives. My sister and I have this very inappropriate way of dealing with the health of our mother, first off we discuss her as a ticking time bomb. At any moment any one of her issues could take her life, people are shocked. Secondly when she was ill the last time our humor at that time is anything but humorous to others, but again it’s all our way of dealing and coping and we should never frown upon others and how they deal with their own specifics. Thanks for the reminder to those who do need it, oh and the story as well!!!
Amazing as always – everyone´s said it – what you amazing writes are doing really is saving the show for us. As warped as it got sunday after sunday, we could always – and luckily still can – count on you guys to gently pull the story back in loving surroundings; you leave no loose ends and somehow you always make sense – no sudden appearances, no sudden truth that is supposed to shock us and maybe even thrill us – but really all it does is annoy us – Please continue bringing us love and believability.
Sea – i am supposed to be going to work out on my bike but i am already hot and bothered. i am deeply in awe of you – your talent is obvious to us all but getting to know you through emails in the last few months has been an pleasure ( not the sort B/T had ) You are a very honourable and sweet person and its joy to get your feedback on my writing, i really believe IC was getting her own back on LH for being so adorable and us the fans for being so in love with both Tina and Laurel.
