Chapter 23: The aftermath: is Bette cheating?…the topic causes some thoughts and concerns…
3 hours had passed since Bette walked out the front door..I couldn’t stand to watch the rain much longer…I paced the livingroom floor like a mad woman out of control…my heart racing and blood pumping…I hear Bette’s car pull up out front…I quickly run to the window and peer through it…
she’s carrying bags up the steps…I open the door assisting her inside…she carries the grocerries to the kitchen..she smelled different…that smells not mine…I close the door with an unsteady heart…I could feel it tightening before me…god I can’t breath…breath Tina…breath…
I make my way into the kitchen as she was putting away the grocerries…I give her a hand…she walks before me and behind me carefully putting the cans inside of the cabinet…I tried to ingnore the afternoon stand out in which she walked away and out the door…but I couldn’t let it pass…she was gone for a few hours and usually she would have called…but she never did…I became suspicious at the moment wanting to know where she’d really been …I wasn’t buying that she went to the market…no…I believe she was with another woman…I say…
“so…where have you been?”
she turns and smiles at me…she says…
“I went shopping at the market sweetie…”
she walks over to me and kisses me…I turn my head away quickly…she smiles before me and says…
“what?…what’s the matter?”
she stares me in the eye…and I continue taking the bread out the bag and placed it on the counter…I said…
“you smell different”
she says…
“I do…”
she lifts her shirt to ber nose and smells the cotton material…she shakes her head saying…
“I don’t smell anything”
the innocense that she held in her face…my mind wasn’t agreeing with it…there was something about her that was different…I couldn’t pinpoint it…she smiles again saying…
“sweetie…I think you should go and see the doctor…somethings wrong with your sense of smell young lady…”
I smile and shake my head…maybe I am tripping…hormones..hormones…hormones…she embaces me tight and releases me quickly…I wonder about her sudden body lauguage…Bette was never like that…she’s very affectionate but not this time…my conscience started kicking in…I began to think…what if?…she had more than enough time to cheat if she had wanted to…the scent from her hair smelled like she’d been smoking and Bette wasn’t much of a smoker…so I assumed…

I want to know if Bette is cheating, or is someone out just to cause trouble, please tell us in the next chapter what is going on.
Please do not let Bette be cheating again. Hopefully, it is someone who thinks that they are talking to the right person, but find out that it is Helena cheating instead of Bette.

How does Bette remain so calm when Tina is trying to smell her crotch? How did she not smack upside her head? How humiliating.
i dont think bette is cheating she went through hell to get tina back,t does’ntreally trust bette if she has to smellit to see if she’s fooling around.
