Helena was in the kitchen making her children breakfast while they were seated on the kitchen counter, telling their mother about their flight here from New York.

Just then, the doorbell rang.

“ Sweethearts, mummy’s a little busy right now. Would you two be lovely enough to go see who’s at the door? “ Helena asked while she was busy with the cooking.

“ Yes mummy! “ the children exclaimed as they hopped off the counter, running towards the door.

Then, the children came running back into the kitchen.

“ There’s this pretty lady standing outside. “ Jun Ying reported while Wilson nodded his head.

“ Oh really? “ Helena laughed, knowing that her children were referring to Ashlee.

“ Yes. Hurry up mummy. “ Wilson added, pulling his mother to the door.

Helena unlocked and opened the door to allow Ashlee in.

“ Hey baby. “ Ashlee grinned, leaning in to give Helena a quick peck on her lips but she pulled away in time, realizing that Helena’s children were watching them.

“ Hello, darling. “ Helena greeted back before whispering, “ Thank you for being so considerate. “

“ You’re welcome. “ Ashlee smiled softly.

She then knelt down to greet the children.

“ Hello! You two must be Jun Ying and Wilson. “ Ashlee smiled at them.

“ Hello. pretty lady. “ They chorused.

Both Helena and Ashlee turned to each other and burst out laughing at they way the children had greeted her.

Helena then knelt down and introduced, “ Jun Ying, Wilson, this is Ashlee. “

“ Hi Ashlee. “ They greeted together, smiling brightly.

“ Are you mummy’s new girlfriend? “ Jun Ying asked bluntly, causing the adults to laugh again.

“ Yes, I am. And I am about to kiss your mummy, is that okay with the both of you? “ Ashlee chuckled.

“ Oh alright. Make it quick. “ Wilson added, covering his eyes with his hands.
