“Where’d you find the rabbit?”

“It woke me up.” She flipped it over and poked it a few more times. “Yep, it’s ready. Wake up those other bastards and tell them to come eat. Never mind, I wanna do it. I’ve always wanted to wake up a buncha retards to come eat.” She walked over to where they were sleeping and kicked each one til they woke up. “Come eat.”

Dufy had hit close to Heart Breaker’s wound. “Bitch!”

“Bitch? Then you starve.”

Dana had been staring at the fire this entire time. “Dufy? How’d you start the fire?”

“Matches.”

“Okay, where’d you get the matches?”

She shrugged her shoulders. “They were in my Medi-Pak, The Convenient Pak.”

“Really? Why would they put matches in a first-aid kit?”

“I dunno, and FYI it’s a Medi-Pak.”

“Whatever.” Dufy took the rabbit out of the fire and cut into five “equal” pieces.

“Hey, your piece is bigger than mine!”

“Not it’s not! Plus I made the damn thing, I don’t see why I shouldn’t get the bigger piece.”

“Shut up Dufy, Heart Breaker don’t talk to her.”

“That’s an order. Now eat your damn food.” After they finished their little fest, they were back on the road to civilization.

“Dana, Dana.”

“I’m thirsty.”

“We just drank water at the lake.”

“We did?”

“Yeah?”

“Okay, never mind.” As Gina said this she thought to herself, yeah we drank water like two hours ago.

Dana and Dufy were walking side-by-side. “I hate the fucking sun.”

“Don’t worry we’ll get there soon.”

“What time is it?”

Dana looked up. “Um, I guess about 11 maybe 12 at the latest.”

“Hey, it’s Friday right?”

“Yep.”

“Hey Dana,” Dufy squinted her eyes. “I think I’m having a mirage. I see a city, or what looks like a city.”

Dana looked in the direction Dufy was looking in. “No, I see it too.” Dana looked in her binoculars. She saw two tall buildings and cars parked in front of it. “It’s acity? A city!” She began to run. “Come on guys, we’re saved.” They all followed Dana. When they got to where the city was, they were stunned by what they saw. “Shit.”
