“Kit you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I think I’ve just met the woman of my dreams.” Bette confession continues. “I met her… her name’s Tina Kennard, over at Paramount Studios.  We met by accident; I went to the wrong office.  I walked in and introduced myself, and then I proceeded to grab her by the neck and kiss her — On the mouth!! After knowing her for, Oh— thirty seconds!!!  Oh yeah, and then she kissed me back, and gave me her cell phone number, and asked me to call her for a date, and here’s the kicker —- she’s STRAIGHT!  What do you think Kit? Am I crazy or what?”  Shaking her head and laughing, Kit says, “Well it sounds like a Bette Porter move.  It sounds like you’ve met your match.  What’s she like?” 

“Well first off she’s beautiful.  She has blond hair and hazel eyes you can get lost in.  Tina is sexy, not in a Hoochie-Mama way, but in a wholesome way.  She even said ‘Gee Whiz’ once during our brief conversation, and she grew up in Michigan, Little Miss Suburbia, and I think she’s kind of naïve too.  I think I’m the first woman she’s ever kissed, because after she kissed me, for a split second she had this look of  “What the fuck did I just do.  So what do you think Kit?” 

  Kit thought for minute then replied, “Bette, you better be careful, you don’t want to break this poor girl’s heart.  Tina doesn’t stand a chance once Bette Porter’s laser eyes stare you down. The ‘straight thing’ I wouldn’t worry about since she’s already kissed you, but then the thing you have to worry about is she going out with a woman because she’s just curious?  Bette you can’t put your Player moves on her.  If she’s as wholesome and naïve as you think, you’ll have to take it slow.  You should date her for a while before you put any moves on her. If you move to fast you’ll scare her and she’ll run for the hills. Bette why don’t you bring her around so I can meet her?  Then I’ll be able to you give you my opinion on how to proceed.  Also, ask Alice and Shane what they think?  Maybe you should all go out for a drink together?  Let the girls meet her.”
