Interconnectedness – Chapter 37
The close friendships that Greg, Cole, Bette and Tina fostered on the cruise grew quickly into one of an extended family. They got together for dinner every other week in Manhattan and the Kennard-Porters spent one weekend a month in Connecticut at the Alt-Matthews home. The ‘perpetual uncles’ fell in love with Angelica on site and she took to both of them right away. It could be that she was missing Angus and James but whatever the reason Bette and Tina loved the idea of Angie having two new uncles. They spoiled her rotten and even set up one of the extra bedrooms in their home for Angie so she had toys, books and games to play with while there.
Greg and Cole had a favorite neighborhood hangout much like the Planet had become for Bette and Tina. Whenever they went up for the weekend Bette, Tina, Cole, Greg and a few other couples would go there on Saturday nights to listen to the live bands, dance, eat junk food, drink beer and shoot pool.
Angie made friends with Emma and Liz’s four year old daughter Suzie. Suzie loved it when Angie visited so Emma and Liz volunteered to babysit while the adults had their fun. Sundays were dedicated to family time spent with the kids. They usually had brunch followed by a kid friendly outing or activity. The tri-state area had so much to offer that they never lacked age appropriate entertainment for both children and the adults.
When Bette, Tina and Angie didn’t spend weekends in Connecticut they either spent them on their own exploring more of the city or else they spent them with Peggy and her grandchildren. It was amazing how quickly they’d formed bonds with their ‘new family’ on the east coast although they were always in constant touch with their west coast family as well. Kit was their most frequent visitor to New York but the other girls popped in occasionally as well. They missed hanging out together but with skype, email, cell phones, and texting they were all still very much in touch and involved in each others daily lives.
***
After returning from their honeymoon Bette and Tina soon fell into routines of work, school, spending time with Angie, and socializing with friends, family and colleagues. They’d created a new lifestyle for themselves in New York City and they couldn’t be happier with how things had evolved between them.

I could live with a story that Jodi didn’t play a big role in. Thanks, enjoyed it

Thanks for the welcome but I’m so NOT a Jodie fan! I’m all fucked up from work nights these past 3 nights. My sleep pattern is all jacked up. I’m so exhausted but can’t fall to sleep! I so enjoyed this chapter! PPS
BAT didnt see that coming with Marcus. Im guessing Bette is goin to ask Coleman :). Please no Jodi cannot handle another drama there. Great update.
Wow Great very full Chapter.
Thanks BAT really enjoyed it and look forward to the continuing story.
I think I would enjoy it much more if Jodie was not a part of it though.
Didn’t like her, or her ‘art’, in the show and not anxious for her to be in Tibette’s lives!
Coleman-donor and if Tina has another-Greg-loving this story
Unfortunately Marcus will not be the donor, in such
our suspicions fall on Cole and Grage, correct!
Great Dana have survived the cancer.
Very good class have found the way to happiness.
The complete constellation.
Please no Jodie, whatever Bette saw in her, i think she temporily lost her mind :)
It is good to read how the gang is doing .
Great update, thanks.
