"I see." Bette didn’t want to pry into Tina’s personal life, just yet. So she opted not to question the blonde about the break up, instead. " So, you’re not going to put out, is that what you’re saying?"

Tina laughed. "Um. That’s right, because I intend to pay for both of us. So, if anyone is putting out, it would be you."

"Sounds like a deal! What time?" They laughed.

    ————–

Tina is definitely having positive influence on Bette. Our hero doesn’t realize it, but her friends can see she was much happier than before. They didn’t know the source of Bette’s happiness, but they’re very pleased to see their friend smiling without an occasion.

"Bette. You look warm today." Dana smiled.

"Um. Thanks, Dana. " Bette smiled hesitantly not quite sure if that was a compliment.

"Radiant Dana. The word is radiant." Said Alice, who then turns to Bette. "What she meant is, you look happy, Porter."

"I agree." Shane added, but her eyes continue to scope out the girls in the gym.

"So what gives, Porter? What’s the cause of this perma-grin, huh?"

Bette laughed. "What? Nothing Al. Why? I can’t be happy?"

"Not that, but we haven’t seen you like this in, well, forever. So, tell us! What is it?"

    "T"

    "Tea? Drinking tea?"

Bette laughed. "Yeah. That’s it." The gang stared at Bette as she got off the bike. They watched her strut down the facility, still wondering what was the cause of this new Bette.

"We have to find out what exactly is making Porter so happy!" Alice exclaimed, while Dana and Shane just look at her with concerning eyes.

"You need help, Al." They laughed at Alice.

"Yeah. Let it be, Al, Bette’s happy. That’s the important thing." Shane stated.

"Fine! I’ll find out myself." Alice hopped off her treadmill, and followed Bette. Dana and Shane just shook their heads at the spunky blonde.

Bette is having a hard time deciding on what she should wear for tonight’s non-date with Tina. Finally, she settled in a white shirt, jeans, her favorite pair of heels.

"Okay, Porter, you look casual enough but not sloppy. Good." She said to the mirror that is holding her image.
