“Tina come on” Tina turns around and looks at Bette. She couldn’t contain her anger anymore “Tina I know what Alice told you and believe me I am as angry as you right at her, she had no right” Bette was finding it really hard to contain her emotions right now

“Was she right? Was I just a casual fuck?” Bette shakes her head and looks down at the ground as a way of finding the confidence to talk to Tina and confess what she was feeling

“No that was the old me, the moment I first saw you in that blue strapless dress looking absolutely gorgeous and sexy I knew that you were the only woman I wanted” Tina wants to believe Bette so much but she wasn’t convinced “This past week has been utter torment for me” Tina was feeling the same way. It had been so hard not to pick up the phone and call Bette “You’re all I can think about” Tina closes her eyes, her breathing was getting heavy. She couldn’t let Bette get her so easily

“I know I have had the week from hell too” Bette looks Tina straight in the eyes. She could see the hurt and passion in them “I go to bed every night and dream of you making love to me” Bette closes her eyes. It was good to know she wasn’t the only one going through this hell “But I just need some time to let all this sink in ok” Bette nods. It was clear to Tina that it wasn’t what Bette had wanted to hear but she knew it was for the best

“OK I understand I’ll just go and leave you to your coffee” Bette walks away and Tina closes her eyes. She had just fucked her chance to be with the woman of her dreams. She gets in her car and drives home, where she was going to have it out with Alice. Bette slumps against the wall to regain her composure before getting into her car and going back to the gallery. It was going to be a long day, she knew that Tina would be the only thing that would occupy her mind for the remained of the day if not the week. Being in love is totally shit if you’re not with the one you love.
