    Just my imagination post 9

“I plan to date other people.” Bette spoke and signed.

Jodi looked at her carefully.  “You mean you plan to date Tina, right?”

    “Yes.”

“Are you ready to order Ladies?”  The waitress asked them interrupting the building tension.  Once their orders were placed the air grew heavy between them.

“So it’s over with us” Jodi shook her head in disbelief.

“I said I want to date Tina as well as you. I never said I wanted to end things with us.”

“Who are you kidding?”  Jodi signed furiously.  “You haven’t fucked me since the night of the party.”

    Bette flushed.

Seeing the reaction Jodi suddenly knew.  It was like she had walked through an invisible door the night of the party.  The day before Bette was hot and sexy the next day the night of the party she was cold. She kissed her and held her but the fire she was used to was not there anymore.

“No Bette it’s over.  I need a lover.”

Jodi was a bit sad.  She had almost given up her free wheeling ways to settle down.  Bette was something special.

“Friends?”  Jodi held out her hand.

“I’d like that” Bette returned.  “I’d like that a lot.”

    1. Jodi must know when she has lost the battle, but I can’t imagine that with her spirit she would give up so easily. Nevertheless, I love your take on the promos and your writing.

    2. I agree with my good friend Patty there, that Jodi was a hell of a woman to accept Bette’s decision with such integrity and class. I’m sure it wasn’t easy, but then again, she never wanted to commit to Bette Porter completely, or give her any type of security in having a future together, so maybe she was expecting that risk to bite her one day. Still though, I think it is remarkable to write her as still wanting to have a friendship…let’s hope that spitefulness which can sometimes develop after something ends like this, doesn’t fuel some immature behavior. Kelika, you are a magnificent writer my dear, and I honestly cannot wait to read more SOON! :-)

    3. i think the questions is will jodie have regrets of just being friends? if jodie does fit for fight she is going up against a LOT of history and she won’t have a chance against tina!

    4. YAAAAY! ..I still hope she gets run over by a taxicab as she departs the restaurant. That way there’s no fingers crossed, do-overs, no comebacks. Thanks!

    5. Glad that’s over, didn’t like Jodi with Bette, let her date someone else less fortunate. Bette and Tina belong together,’nough said. Now let’s get to the dating, ready for date #1. All together now, YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!. PPVS

    6. That was too freakin’ easy…I don’t believe it!!! I mean I don’t believe Jodi isn’t going to play some mind games…even if simply for revenge and not because she’s in-love…Dating I’ve always wanted to see between B and T so bring it on!!!!PPS

    7. Huh. Who’d’ve thought Jodi would take that so easily. She’s either the most gracious person ever, or smart enough to know when she’s been trounced in the game of love. I vote for the latter. Nice kelika, more please!
