CHAPTER FORTY FOUR: No Regrets Part Two
I wonder why I didn’t fall in love with you before. Tina I.. I should have fallen for you instead..
What might’ve been.. what should’ve been.. are things better kept to oneself than said aloud. You can’t do anything to change the past, and wallowing in it won’t do anything to alter the present.
I should have..
Fallen..
For you..
Instead..
The words that rolled off Sam’s lips were caught by the wind and carried into Tina’s hesitant and unwilling ears. And for a fleeting second, everything was in a standstill. And the only sound that was heard was a sudden stop in heartbeat.. followed closely by a succession of thumps that got faster and louder with every passing moment.
The blonde’s eyes widened in shock, her mouth dropped and dangled open; Sam’s words cutting right through her skull and stunning her to silence. The little voice of reason inside her head began shouting loudly and incessantly, telling her that if she wanted to stop things before it got ugly, now was the perfect time to step on the brakes. It was bad enough that she felt mighty guilty that she was allowing Sam to hug her when she knew Bette would mind, but hearing those words only deepened her guilt and tore at her conscience. So willing herself to recover and go against her paralyzed form, she kickstarted her short-circuited brain and pulled herself together. Tina placed her shaking hands between their bodies to act as a barrier, anything to put even the tiniest of distance between them and ease the pressure of Sam’s pressed body against her.
“Tina, why did I..”
“Sam.” Tina warned, stopping the girl before she could say any more damaging words. She could feel the brunette sighing, her warm breath hitting her neck, making her flinch uncomfortably. “Sam, please let me go.” Tina pleaded, gently pushing the girl away and trying to wiggle her way out of Sam’s hold. The brunette, still oblivious to her discomfort and a little too preoccupied with her own pain, continued to latch on to her tightly, refusing to budge an inch.
“I should’ve..”
“Sam!” Tina shouted, interrupting the girl once more. Her sudden violent outburst finally got her friend’s attention, and much to her relief, Sam pulled back a bit to look at her. “Please let me go.” Tina repeated her plea. “The last time we hugged, all hell broke loose. And I believe you know that if news of this reaches my girlfriend, I won’t be the one ending up all muddy and bruised in the middle of the soccer field – you are. For all you know, Bette will resurrect her beloved bullying game – God knows the bored students in this school miss it – and for the first time ever, give out a red tag to another member of F4.” She tried to reason with the girl. This time, Sam’s eyes flickered with understanding, finally allowing herself to hear Tina’s words. “I don’t know what’s wrong with you today but please, you have to stop talking nonsense. I’m sure that when you start thinking straight again, the things that you just said will end up in your long list of regrets too.” Tina carried on, feeling Sam’s grip on her loosening. “Sam, you love Helena. Always have, always will. That’s the reason why you never took notice of me – or any other girl, for that matter – in a romantic way. Please don’t delude yourself with thoughts of things that aren’t meant to be – they didn’t happen because they were never what your heart wanted in the first place.” She finished.

i am all caught up… love this story… loved chester and family.. i laughed… but i would draw the line at rats in my home/apartment… i felt bad for sam… but i am glad she told bette and also told bette that tina chewed her a new one… and whats with melvin… why can’t he just talk to bette and let her love her life with tina… surely his people following her around tell him how they are together… maybe he will come around… hopefully before he has a heart attach… can’t wait for the next chapter… PPS

Haha, the end did make me laugh out loud. Another brilliant chapter. Hopefully Helena will make good on her promise to make it up to Sam, so that there’s no awkwardness for Tina and Sam. And loving the interraction over the car, it definitely doesn’t strike me as something Bette would want to be driving! Great post, can’t wait for the next

Bette handled that really well. Maybe driving her hippie Love Bug is rubbing off on her, or maybe it’s just Tina’s influence… I’m glad she made herself clear to Sam, but I don’t think Sam will ever cross that line again, if she wants to keep all her body parts intact. Great chapter! thanks
Good tosee back hey, what a story lol. Tina is the true boss of the gang lol. so cute and funny. I hope Helena and Sam will work out their issue. Bette is so protective of Tina its unreal pmsl. Poor Sammy its not 15 anymore but 30 hahaha. Brillant. Can’t wait for therenovations work, that will surely be funny. Wow no red tag for sometime hey. As a Tibetter, I am thrilled that Sam was put in her place. Bette and Tina are ssoooo cute in this story and nothing is allowed to screw that up. Additionally, I love how protective Bette is of Tina, and that even without her wealth she is feared by everyone. Can’t wait to see how the renovations work out ;)

Now that’s what I like to see. Sam regaining “consciousness,” Tina putting her in her place and Bette forgiving Sam’s minor transgression and asserting her mad love for Tina. All is well for now with the best friends and the young, sweet, horny lovers. I thoroughly enjoy your long posts, Alchemy.
