Alice slid her glasses onto her head upon entering the coffee shop. She gawked around at everything but the two people who were making an attempt to greet her. Her vision of the place decieved her, making her think she saw things that weren’t there. She finally directed her attention to the two waiting.

"Hey Kit, Yoda." Shane smiled at Alice’s comment. Kit engulfed Al in a hug. "How you doing sugar?" Alice pulled away after a good hug and gave her a "how do you think" look.

Shane motioned towards thier usual table. Alice sauntered mournfully over to the table and flopped in a chair. Kit showed up with thier espressos. "Here you go." Kit quickly left as to not get ripped apart.

"Good to see you’re alive." Shane wanted to make small talk that would keep them talking, not sitting in silence. "I’m not alive." Alice’s answer came as a shock, but Shane understood. She nodded and got comfortable in the chair opposite Al’s.

Then something happened nobody expected. Lara came over to the table slowly, a cautious grin on her face. "Hey, Alice, how are you?" Alice looked up and smirked at the redhead. "Fuck off, suck up." Lara looked shocked and Shane had to stifle a laugh. Lara looked uncomfortable and almost tripped over herself getting away from Alice.

"Goddamm, Al, that was brutal." Alice kept a blank stare. "She deserved it and you know it." Shane let herself laugh this time. "What are you doing later?" Alice acted like she was thinking. "Sleeping." Shane acted like she was gagging. Alice shot her a death glare. "Let’s hit up a bar, drink it all away."

Alice mock laughed and gave Shane the finger. "Doubtful, Yoda." Alice glanced around and saw Lara standing at the counter and smirked again. "God." Shane looked at her and saw the tears forming. "Shane, I need to go before I do something stupid. Thanks though, I needed this." Alice got up from the table, composed herself, waved to Kit and made her way toward the door. It was her lucky day, Lara was at the counter. Alice stepped up to the counter with a smug look on her face. "Thanks for absofuckinglutely nothing." Al started to walk out, and Lara tried to speak. "Alice I.." she was cut off by the bird flying at her. Alice kept her eyes on the ground when she bumped into someone.

Alice dropped her purse and her coffe and watched them hit the ground before she looked up. Alice was pissed beyond belief until she heard a voice she never thought she’d hear again. "Oh my god, I’m so sorry." Alice looked up the same time as the brunette as they locked eyes. She looked deep into the blue eyes she’d looked into so many times before. Al broke the eye contact and just walked away from all of her belongings. Dana rushed after her and caught her by the wrist.

"Don’t….touch me." Alice pulled her hand away with tears streaming down her face. This sight broke Dana’s heart. She reached out to hug Al, but the blonde broke land record speeds getting to her car and leaving Dana standing there, thinking about what a mess this all was.
