“What the fuck?!” she said so loudly that several people turned to stare at her, but Bette didn’t notice. Her eyes went huge as she read the words on the left: Theresa Kennard, Plaintiff v. Bette Porter, Defendant and on the right: the case number and in bold print, ORDER OF TEMPORARY INJUNCTION. She started to read it. Plaintiff Kennard or "Plaintiff", by her undersigned counsel, for its Complaint against defendant Bette Porter or “Defendant" alleges as follows. . . .” Bette skimmed the pages. Theresa had filed an injunction to get Bette to cease and desist as Tina’s legal and medical power of attorney.
“Bette?” Helena had walked up to her and looked over her shoulder. She saw that Bette had been served by the processor. “Bette?”
Bette turned around. Seeing Helena made no sense. She was at LAX reading legal papers that had been handed her by a stranger.
“Bette? I’ve got my car. I know what’s happening. Whit is going to represent you?”
Bette waved the papers and envelope in her hand. “What the fuck is this?”
“Let’s go to the car. I’ll explain it.”
“I’m being sued?” She asked incredulously. “I’m being sued by a woman who couldn’t get her ass out here to see her daughter for over a fucking month and then acted like the world’s best goddamn liberal mom? Living in my house?!”
Helena put her hand on Bette’s back and guided her toward the door. “Is it just this bag and laptop?”
“Yes,” Bette was hardly paying attention to Helena.
They walked out through the glass doors and to the black limo where Boden waited. Boden was standing at the passenger’s side back door. He opened the door and Helena pushed Bette inside and followed behind her. Boden closed the door, walked to the driver’s door, got in, and began his journey east.
“She’s trying to take away my rights as Tina’s caregiver? She can’t be serious. Do you know what this shit says?” Bette demanded.
“I spoke with Whit yesterday, but I don’t know the complaint detail by detail.”
Bette tossed the papers on Helena’s lap. “There, see for yourself.” She rested her chin on her fisted hand and stared out the window. “What fucking next? I’ve had it. I’ve goddamn had it.” Helena watched her boil over. She was certainly glad that Bette Porter wasn’t behind the wheel or in a SuperShuttle with seven strangers who’d feel her wrath.

I love this story!!! I hope Bettte can get to Tina and make her understand that she’s the one Bette loves and wants to be with. Stephanie is a cunt!!!
Holy cow 28 pages lol. That shows absolute dedication on your part,excellence. Everyone get their share of loving even B&T, but of course had to be from a dream or an altered state of mind. It was so sad to read about Tina and her fight to regain control of her mind. Bette’s loneliness is also heartbreaking and she is in a fight of her life for her family. Glad Helena is there to help. I need to read it again to be sure I did not missed anything :)
28 pages! You are amazing!! Hope we’d always get that long. =P Bette needs to calm down. What she needs least at the moment is an against mother. Hope Bette go back to Tina soon and take her into her arms. Poor Tee.

I can feel it though, it’s comming the high drama, hanging by a thread…will you continue with your own version of S4?? You make this story seem real, shane and the chillies…too funny, painful, but funny. Pls don’t quit I’ll wait patiently for more chapters…now I’m off to reread again, and again!!!! Thankyou so much

A person like Stephanie makes me remember that although nuture plays a big role in how a child will turn out nature also has its imperfections. There must be more to the Stephanie, Theresa and Christina dynamic. Could it be that the youngest daughter is envious of her sister? There has to be some motive for the amount of hate in her towards the people that she supposedly loves. Or her mother must have dropped her on her head as a kid. Anyways I think you captured how Bette would act perfectly but I would really like, and I have no idea what your plans are, for her to confront this issue head on not put her sister in a position where she has to do what she should do whether or not Theresa had anything to do with that injunction she has been giving Bette the support that she needed since this entire debacle began so Bette should at least confront her with this supposed betrayal. You have indeed made this story your own but amazingly enough you stay really true to the characters and yet you have managed to let them evolve. I especially like what your doing with Shane something I think IC should have tackled as a writer but alas IC is into fluff and some of us are into substance. Thanks

WOW…OMG… i read this at work last night… Well portia… all i can say is that it was brilliant… i have one concern… i don’t think theresa would do what that paper says… i do think its all steph… and i do hope bette lets theresa say her peace…i hope kit can get them to talk… and they all work together and bring down that bitch… her boyfriend should also know that she is fucking around with the doctor… love this story… but you don’t have tp post a book all of the time… we would love any update you want to share… thanks… please continue
Portia, as always, it was fucking brilliant. I really loved the part where Carmen accidentally fucked Shane with chile residue on her hands–that was hilarious! Wow–one of the best chapters ever!

I enjoyed reading each page and appreciate all the detail and effort you put in. I can’t wait to see Bette tackle the Kennard’s. With Helena on her side, the Kennard family won’t know what hit them. Hopefully, Shane will be able to tell Carmen she loves her and I wish Tina would get well enough to tell her family to leave her, Bette & Angelica alone. Please continue…

You have blown this fanfic site out of the water! Hell, there IS no water! Whatever behooves you to write so well, so long and so in depth, I salute it and you! I bow to the master! Oop, I’m repeating myself. I stayed up well past my bedtime (it’s 3:00 AM here) and the bedroom door may be locked. I’ll probably have to spend the rest of the early morning sleeping in my computer chair with my feet up on the case on the floor. And yes, it was and is worth it!!! WOW, but for god sakes let Tina’s mom make Bette understand that it was not her but Stephanie. Let her help fight that bitch to keep Tina safe and with Bette. They do not need any more pain than they are ready have.

I wish nothing but violence on Stephanie – maybe she and the Doc can fall victim to appletini poison or a long hard fall off a very high cliff prehaps? This story really is wonderful – you’ve given these characters so much breath. I felt like voyeur with B/T in the hotel – you painted such a vivid/descriptive picture.

wonderful chapter yet if full of drama :D The Bette and Barbara love scene was soo amazing :heart: And the B&T love scene is something we needed to see from long time… I simply adore how you pictured Helena, high heels but caring and ready to fight on the right side :D And her dynamics with Bette are wonderful :PKeep it on, I check every two days to see if you published another chapter as I’m eager to read it (knowing it must take long time to write and correct so many pages of work) Really many thanks for your efforts :D You’re appreciated, a lot :nod:
