Previously, the Random Act introduced us to a young girl who had to do laundry while her brothers played football; Bette and Tina had a little happy time; and Jenny thanked Shane for being there for her when she needed help and visited her shrink and then we were introduced to Tina’s mother. Kit and Ivan met with the Insurance Adjuster, Tina, Bette & Mrs. Kennard didn’t exactly get along and Dana and Lara had some alone time together.

Scene 10



Location: Jenny & Shane’s House





Alice is at Shane & Jenny’s house pouring out her heart to Carmen,
Shane and Jenny. There are beers on the table, a bottle of tequila and
shot glasses.



Alice: I can’t believe Dana would do this to me. How could she just
break up with me after I gave her my heart? [Alice does a shot of
tequila.] Maybe I wasn’t good enough in bed. How can I compete with
Miss Female Ejaculation Queen of WeHo?



Shane: Maybe she wasn’t ready for it Al.



[Carmen nods her head in agreement.]



Jenny: It’s cold man, it’s fucked up, as soon as you tell them you
how happy you are and tell them you love them they’re gone. [Jenny is
a little drunk and is slightly slurring her words.]



Carmen: You’ll find someone else.



Alice: Yeah, who? Who’s going to date me after my best friend and
the love of my life has dumped me. I may as well get a capital L
tattooed on my far- head.



Jenny: Maybe you could sell an article to LA weekly. “The Top 10 Ways to Dump Your Lover.”



Alice: I’m the one who got dumped remember?



Jenny: Okay, how about “The Top 10 Ways to Get Over Being Dumped by your Lover.”



Alice: This could be good. Where do we start?



Jenny: Stalking, revenge



[Carmen and Shane exchange worried glances. Shane lights up a joint]



Shane: Alcohol, drugs



Carmen: Tears



Alice: Yoga, therapy



Jenny: Date her best friend or an ex.



Alice: I can’t date myself and I wouldn’t touch that cat killing, Stepford lesbot Tonya if you paid me.



Shane: Get laid.



Jenny: Journal, take a trip.



Carmen: Date someone hotter and richer.



They all toast and to “dating someone hotter and richer!” and do a shot of tequila together.

Scene 11



Location: Bette & Tina’s Bedroom




Tina is sitting on the side of the bed and has been crying.



Tina: Thanks Babe. I just couldn’t let her stay here if she’s going to be fighting against your right to adopt Angelica.



[Bette gets on the bed behind Tina and massages her shoulders.]



Tina: I just hoped it could be different this time. How could she
be so hypocritical as to come here on a plane ticket we paid for to
lobby against our rights? I’m not sure she even wanted to meet
Angelica.



Bette: I know.



Tina: That feels nice. [Tina leans her head back against Bette.]



[In the background we hear Angelica crying.]



Bette: I’ll go.



Tina: No let me, you had her all day.



[We see Tina picking up Angelica from the crib and then and rocking her in the chair.]



Tina: Your mommies love you very much.

Scene 12



Location: Tennis Court at the Club

Dana is running back and forth from the base line to the net practicing getting to drop shots. The coach has a stopwatch.



Coach: Dana what is with you this morning? You’re too slow and
already dragging your ***** and the day isn’t half over. Lucia is going
to be here in half an hour for your strength training.



Lara: I’m afraid that’s my fault. I gave her breakfast in bed this morning.



Dana: [Looks sheepish.]



Coach: You know she’s got to eat right when she’s training.



Lara: I know. [Smiles broadly at Dana.]



Coach: Look, don’t you have a job to go to? Dana really needs to concentrate.



Dana: It’s not her fault, I asked her to come with me; they haven’t
rebuilt the Planet yet, if it wasn’t for me she’d have a job to go to.



Lara: No problem, I don’t want to be a distraction. I’ll go and see you at home later.



[Dana runs over and gives Lara a kiss goodbye.]



Coach: That’s the fastest I’ve seen you run all morning. Now lets get work on your serve.
