CHAPTER 11: WITH A LITTLE HELP OF MY FRIENDS
The drove back to Tina’s place was a calm and silent one, both of them lost in thoughts. Bette was trying to be supportive of the situation, but sometimes was just hard. She felt so old and busy to help someone to figure out her sexuality. Definitely the well successful Bette Porter wasn’t achieving her goals by being patient, quite the contrary, she was used to get all she wanted without much trouble, it didn’t matter if it was a piece of art, a client or a woman. That was why she had stopped to pursuit straight girls a long time ago and she didn’t care for relationships. Relationships went for her as far as it was easy and satisfying and in the first sign of problem or demands she would leave for the next one. And every time that the thing got a little hard regarding Tina she would force herself to remember the connection she felt with her from the very beginning. That connection, that she only felt two times before in a weaker intensity, was making worth all her effort.

so, are they dating or are they just friends? well, i’m thinking bette will say that it’s not working for her and tina will say that she wants to come out

I totally understand Tina, but I’m not sure what I would do. It can be very hurt. I guess I will try to back up a bit and let her figure it out. After all, it’s not only about coming out. To me, her denial of being a lesbian is kind of like denial the relationship.

Tina needs to be open and honest with Bette about her fears and insecurities. I think Bette will take it slow with Tina. Jeez, she went to Europe for her I’m sure she’ll help Tina in her journey of coming out and acceptance of her sexuality. Please post soon, and thanks for the update.
