Tina took her to kindergarten as usual that morning, so that she could celebrate with her friends and later they were in Bette’s room with a cake cut in half, rainbow colored and all colored sugar on top.

Angelica was so excited to be able to celebrate with Bette too. Peggy, Dana and Alice were also present in the room for a short time, since Helena and Shane were busy with last minute interventions.

Tina had noticed Bette’s slightly dull appearance, she had gotten to know her by now and Bette was strange that afternoon, apart from the fact that with Angelica she was enthusiastic and unique as always, her face seemed beaten and her voice lower than usual, a slight cold present from her nasal sound.

Tina had let it go, she didn’t want to cause problems for Bette that afternoon but Alice had also noticed something was wrong and Tina was worried the whole time even though Bette appeared calm and smiling with her.

Angelica unwrapped the gift from Bette, a memo of great difficulty and a puzzle representing the story of Hansel and Gretel.

Of course Angelica was thrilled with the logic games given by Bette who by now knew her perfectly.

While they were eating the cake Helena finally arrived to join them too, Angie still on the bed at Bette’s feet and all around.

Bette coughed a few times which Helena noticed immediately, the brunette looked at her, but Bette quickly looked away and continued playing with Angelica.

Once it was late for Bette’s schedule, Helena and Tina realized it was time to end the party, so Alice and Dana said goodbye and left.

”Honey, I’ll see you at home…” Peggy said to her daughter, saying goodbye to Bette and Tina and little Angelica.

When Peggy finally left Helena went to the bathroom and handed Bette a glass of ice water ”how long have you had these symptoms?”

”what symptoms?”

”your nose. It’s stuffy.. and the cough, God Bette! You know you can’t allow any of that.” Bette rolled her eyes ”no I don’t accept this childishness ok?”

Bette remained silent continuing to stare at Angelica who was examining the puzzle box carefully.
