”the truth?” Tina nodded silently ”I think you should let Bette choose without too much weight on her stomach, even if I think that in part she knows that something is growing between you but she doesn’t want to admit it…but Tina you can’t influence her choice…if you really love her, be on her side, make her feel your support.”
Tina swallowed ”ok….ok..”
”It won’t be easy I know…but Jackson and I have studied everything, she can have surgery, it’s a risky operation, long recovery, but it eliminates the risk of transplant which is much worse than what Havery and I will do. I don’t know what Bette will choose to do Tina…but this is one of her only options, I wouldn’t risk her life for anything, I will operate on her myself, I’m not crazy about scalpels.” Helena stood up and took some papers scattered on the table ”examine them ok? look at the successful and failed operations, this will make you feel more confident, it’s all in here.”
Tina took the sheets of paper with the reports that Helena handed her sighing ”thank you I will, now I have to take Angie home it’s very late, let’s go darling…” Tina stretched out her arms towards Angelica and when the little girl was in her arms she and Helena looked at each other again ”I’ll pretend nothing happened with Bette…I want her to really choose what she thinks is best for her.”
”I know it costs you a lot, it will be fine…and oh…” Helena stopped Tina at the door ”I know that with all this turmoil I didn’t tell you but Tina, I’m actually happy if something happens between you…Bette had great disappointments for the first time that she had really put herself on the line, her heart was really broken…when she feels something really serious, she is the best woman ever.”
Tina smiled slightly ”I don’t know if it’s one-sided Hel…but I think that now I can’t go back immediately with what I feel…but Bette’s health comes first.”
”See you tomorrow Tina…” Helena kissed Angelica’s little head ”see you tomorrow my darling…”
”See you tomorrow Aunt Hel…” Angie said cheerfully ”see you tomorrow…” Tina said to her leaving the room.

Looks like Bette is going to opt for the surgery. Tina and Bette are becoming more attractive to each other with Bette even having some jealousy over De Luca. Hopefully Tina will inform Bette that she has no interest in De Luca and maybe tell De Luca that she needs to keep their relationship professional as in no stroking her arm or infringing on her personal space and no more meeting for drinks. I would also advise Tina to have all meetings at the hospital and during working hours.
Hopefully Bette will have the surgery and will progress enough in her recovery to leave the hospital.
