Previously:

Jess took a deep breathe and let it out.

"Wait. Do you know something I don’t?" Jess asked.

Jess walked back out to the table and sat down.

"Sorry about that." She said. Cat could tell Jess had been crying.

"It’s no problem." Karen said.

"Babe what’s the matter?" Cat asked.

"I fine………….I swear." Jess said. Cat didn’t push it because of the look on her face.

The rest of Dinner went great. Cat was right her parents loved Jess and Jess liked them a great deal also.

"Where are we going you missed the turn to your place?" Jess asked.

"I have a surprise for you. Will you please put this on?" Cat said handing her a blindfold.

"This isn’t one of your games is it?" Jess asked.

"No baby it’s not I promise." Cat said. Jess looked at Cat suspiciously. Jess put the blindfold on.

Cat opened Jess’s door and took her hand.

"Where are we?" Jess asked.

"You’ll see." Cat said. She lead Jess into a building a sat her in a chair.

"Cat what are you doing and where are we?" Jess said.

"I…Give me a sec………………..Okay. You can take off your blindfold." Cat said.

Jess saw a TV in front of her and the room was lit by candles.

"Cat?" Jess said.

"Today is very special. Today is the anniversary of the day that I first knew that you were the person that I was going to spend the rest of my life with. That was 8 years ago." Cat said.

"I know how long it was." Jess said.

"This is my gift to you." Cat said and handed her the remote. Jess pressed play.

Have you ever loved a woman by Bryan Adams started to play over a black screen. Still photos of the two of them faded in. Video shots of Jess and Cat at the beach and playing softball cut in. Each shot was of them laughing together and having fun. Stills of the two of them holding each other and dancing. There were a couple with the two of them asleep. A video of them that was taken right after they started dating the first time faded in. They were in a club. The rest of the team danced around them with random people. They were slow dancing. A fast song started but Jess and Cat remained in each others embrace. They were dancing to their own internal song. More recent Stills faded in and moved across the screen. It ended with a picture of them sitting together under a tree at the park centering on the screen. Text slowly faded in reading I love you.

Jess looked at Cat with tears in her eyes.

"I love you." Jess said and leaned in and kissed the gorgeous brunette sitting next to her.

Cat moved from the small love seat to the floor in front of Jess.

"Jess you are the love of my life. When we were apart all I could think about was the mistake I made by leaving. I want to spend every minute with you. When I look to the future I see us. I can’t imagine spending my life without you by my side…………(Cat reached into her pocket) I have been carrying this around for weeks trying to get the courage to ask you…………….(Cat took a deep breathe and pulled a diamond ring out of her pocket.) Jess Will You Marry Me?" Cat said showing Jess the ring.

Jess paused. She thought to the letter her father had written and then to her heart. It was screaming YES!. She had tears in her eyes.

"Yes." She said.

"Yes?" Cat asked.

"Yes." Jess said nodding her head and with a smile. Cat let out a sigh of relief.

"May I?" Cat asked. Jess gave her, her hand. Cat slipped the ring on her finger.

"I love you." Jess said.

"I love you more." Cat said moving back beside Jess.
