Previously:

“Will you read it to me?”

“Sure. I am not sure you will like it though.” Tina started to read and before long Jess was asleep. Tina put the script down on the table and cut the lamp off. Then laid down and put her arm over Jess.

Bette walked in the bedroom at about 4:00 in the morning. She quietly sat down her suitcase. Tina half way turned over.

“Its just me.” Betted said walking over towards the bed.

“How was your flight?” Tina mumbled. Bette was putting on her pajamas.

“Long.” Bette crawled into bed next to Jess. She looked down at Jess and brushed the hair from her face, kissed her forehead, and did the same to Tina. Bette fell asleep watching the two people that she loved most in the world.

A Month Later

Jess sat on the bed in front of Bette. Bette braided her hair in pigtails.

“Ow. Mom that hurts.” Tina walked in the room wearing a light pink sleeveless dress.

“I’m sorry.” Bette said finishing with one braid starting on another. Tina handed Jess an apple juice box.

“Be very careful not get that on your dress.” Tina said grabbing her ear rings. Bette finished with Jess’s hair.

“We need to go. I told Ivy that we would be their in 20 minutes.” Bette said sliding her sandals on.

Beach

All the guest sat in white chairs that were lined up facing the ocean. Bette and Tina sat in the front row. Ivy waited with the justice of the peace up front. The music started and Jess walked down the isle sprinkling rose petals on the sand. When she got to the front she sat in Bette’s lap. All the guest stood. Mimi walked down the isle. Bette smiled holding Jess in her arms so she could see.

At the reception Alice and Tina walked to the bar. Alice noticed a very hot woman standing alone at the bar.

“Who is that?” Alice said nodded towards the woman with brown hair.

“I don’t know. I haven’t seen her before.” Tina shrugged. “Can I have two martinis please.”

“Hi. I’m Alice.” Alice put her hand out towards the woman.
