Life with Mom and Tina Ch 92

There was a long pause. Neither of the girls were able to look at each other in the eye. They had brought up issues that had been buried inside of both of them for a very long time.

Hillary and Laurie walked back into the room.

"Jess we better go or we are going to be late." Laurie said. Jess looked at her blankly.

"Yeah Nay Nay we better go to. You promised your mom we would be there early." Hillary said.

"Okay babe." Shannon said and then headed towards her. "Jess Can we talk later?" She asked. Jess shook her head yes. Shannon turned took Hillary’s hand and walked out. Laurie walked them to the door. She returned to the kitchen where Jess was still standing in the same spot.

"Babe. Is everything okay?" Laurie asked putting her arms around Jess.

"I can’t take this shit anymore." Jess said as she started to sob.

"It’s okay. Everything will be okay." Laurie said.

"Can we not go tonight?" Jess asked.

"Anything you want." Laurie said brushing the hair out of Jess’s face.

"Thanks. I just want to sleep." Jess said.

"You need a break. You have been going wide open for too long with out a break." Laurie said.

"Will you hold me while I sleep?" Jess asked.

    "Anything." Laurie said.

    House

Caters and bartenders bustled around the house. Bette was standing in the living room making last minute adjustments with the cater. Tina was still in the bedroom getting ready. Shannon and Hillary walked in.

"Hey baby." Bette said to Shannon.

"Hey Mom." Shannon said. Bette walked over to her and hugged her.

"This must be Hillary." Bette said extending her hand to her.

"Yes ma’am." Hillary said shaking Bette’s hand.

"It’s very nice to meet you." Bette said.

"We’ve meet. It was on Move in day." Hillary said.

"She’s one of my roommates." Shannon said.

"Oh that’s right. I so sorry it was such a busy day." Bette said.

"That’s okay. I understand." Hillary said.

"Hey girl when did you get here?" Tina asked walking into the living room.

"We just go here." Shannon said.

"Hillary its nice to see you again." Tina said shaking Hillary’s hand and then giving her a friendly hug.

"So where’s Jess and Laurie. I thought that you guys were going to come together." Tina said. Hillary and Shannon looked at each other.

    "I don’t know." Shannon said.

"Would you two like something to drink?" Tina asked. Bette was looking at Shannon. She knew something was up.

"Water would be great." Hillary said. The two walked outside to the bar.

"Why is Jess really not here?" Bette asked.

"I honestly don’t know. You are going to have to ask her." Shannon said walking towards the back door.

"Okay then. I am so glad you are here. I missed you so much. I knew that you wouldn’t blow us off." Bette said putting her arm around Shannon and together they walked outside. Shannon was smiling and happy, yet the thing with Jess was still bothering her.

    1. I’m first! Sweet! Well as always great chapter! I love jess and laurie! Keep the good times coming, and please let shannon and jess get all their issues squared away. :-)

    2. Like i said before..poor Jess she always taking all the pressure and doesnt complain..damn she really needs a break..im glad that Laurie is there to make her relax. I feel that she will need all her strengh because im sure this mess is just the beginning. Great chapter! Post soon :)

    3. Wait a minute, I don’t think that Shannon is up to anything. Yes, she needs to talk to B&T and come clean about her feelings of resentment and Hillary should encourage her to tell her parents the truth at the dinner. I love both girls and think that they just need to work out this normal silibling stuff. Yes, Jess is kind of running on empty, but when you are young; you can do it. I Lettered in in 3 sports in high school while playing in band year round and was in thr top tenpercent of my class. No one else in my family did as much, but to me it was the most natural thing to do. Jess does need some down time, but she also needs some shared family time with her sister and parents. These four adults need to talk, hug, and the mothers needs to do some mothering. :o)

    4. I don’t think Shannon is up to anything. She’s just wanting a drama-free evening before having to talk to Jess. But she does need to talk to her moms because as we’ve all seen, B&T can be quite oblivious to things at times.

    5. i can’t be more agree with patti, first Shannon need a open hearth talk to her mothers in order to put away all her doubts and second she need to tell them what is happen with Jess, besides Jess need a time to relax or she will be explode!

    6. Thanks for the double post today. Shannon needs to come clean with her mother and actually have the mother and daughter talk that Shannon needs so badly. Then once Shannon realizes that Jess is not coming call and check on her and also have Bette talk to her. That is really the only way that the healing process can take place.
